Just got off the phone now with the main lady in charge of my area. It's $1,000 for the 4 days of the con. Not sure on hotel prices, but I have to apply first, then be accepted. If accepted, I pay for booth. Anyone live close enough that I could stay with them to save on motel? Maybe I should start a GoFundMe with perks to help get booth and get me there! I'm serious, I want this bad, but would have to crowdfund it to make it happen. Let me know what you guys think. It's it the way to go? I wouldn't do it without perks for people. I'll financially support and do my best to be there all four days.

It's amazing to think what it could become. I hope they accept me in first, that's the only step I need to climb right now. The financial boom in those sets is mind boggling and would allow me to do so much more for the game. I'm excited, but can't get too worked up yet until I hear if we make it. Polos? Can't we just do awesome shirts I was going to roll out at first part of year?

I said polos because you want to look professional when demoing your game.
If you would rather go with t-shirts, then I'm game.

Not sure if ewtVerse is bringing his family or not, but if he's flying solo then he is welcome to stay with us too. We'll make it work for everyone that wants to contribute. I hope you can make it!

I would probably take the family and get a hotel. But, if you get a booth, I'll fly out from Texas to support GFP. Since I never went to Galacticon, this would be MY Galacticon.

So I've been reading up more on how things are going to go. Since I am new I will be put into a lottery to see if I am picked. One of the things for my application is to tell them why I think I will succeed at gencon. I am going to go all out with that and hopefully swing for the fences. I've read that things may start at the first of November. That's probably when I will get the application. I'm nervous, I'm excited, yet I do not want to get my hopes up. I wish they would just tell me I am in so I can continue on with the rest of my plans. If I get in, it's going to be epic! Thank you for everyone's thoughts and help so far.

I am excited for you and it's hard not too, but you know you have our support and we all hope this will happen. Good luck on the first stage of the process and all we can do is hope for the best...

It's going to be super competitive, but hopefully you'll make it. Gen Con is always packed, so fingers crossed they accept you.

Make sure that you include that your game's pricing is what will make it successful at the Con. Moreover, include that the game hits not only gamers, but also collectors interested in character art.

The application came and has been filled out and returned! Now it is the waiting game. We are to know our fate around mid-December. I went with the honest truth of Paige and I that you all know and all that. The budget friendly price point and how Gen Con can really make our game more viable with the exposure and purchasing. I'm hoping we get in. It's a long shot...we are the dark horse!
