Here's the situation.
You get one IFC/ICOF character to be the ace of your promotion. He/she is going to have to carry your promotion for 5-10 years as your top star. The other fighters on your roster will probably be up in the air. You need this fighter to anchor your promotion and draw the fans in every week/month.
Who do you pick?

I think my choice is obvious from how I have booked promotions. Bobcat Jack would probably be my choice. Great look and great character. He has that grizzled veteran thing going on. He can be the good guy or the bad guy depending on what you want from him. He was one of the main guys in my IFC for a solid 5 game years and I had a lot of fun with him.

Awesome topic. I think Krusher Khan. He's that big guy that draws heel heat. He's s great worker and top champion. Injuring and retiring fighters with his SICKLE and now ROULETTE. People are always coming to see someone try and silence his despicable commie ways.

One guy who is doing that for me now and I'd take him again is Hubris, it'll be fun to see if he'll be still going game years from now even if The Konishoner's CoT story excludes him...

I have always thought that the most successful promotions need to be focused on an overall idea instead of one guy, bc you have to have all levels working together. If you have 12 guys, then 4 are your top guys and 8 get them over. Once that hapoens, you have 4 stars and can grow the promotion.
But the question here is who would I start a promotion around. While this will not be a popular answer, The Franchise Shane Stud fits that bill. Can be a heel or a face and works with guys of all sizes. My second choice is Punk AD, bc he works as the face against a stable of heels.

My first choice would be Rabbid. You can stick him in a group with a heel manager or have him as a face once the group breaks up. You could have someone you want to push reluctantly team with him against the heel group. There is a lot of potential for that character for longevity.
My second choice is unconventional as I would go with Shane Stud & Disturbed Youth as a tag team. They can be the face tag team facing the bigger heel teams or be a heel team that cheats to steal wins. Once the enviable split happens, Stud vs Youth would be money.

I feel like I sorta do that with Punk A.D. He became my inaugural Grand Champion, also being the first to win my Kombat Championship, which was my mid-tier title before I had the Heritage Championship. He also currently holds PMI's Gold Standard Championship, making him the second person to win both of my major IFC titles (the first being Airwolf, who won both titles in one night)

My BOX OFFICE BLOWOUT pay-per-view is in the books and if you see the results, Hubris continues to be that "One" guy who is building up his lineage and is the star of my promotion, he has taken that spot if you will from Powermonger who is a big part of the "Champions of Time" story and Hubris winning helps me push him, but he is a focal point win or lose for me...

I look at this a few ways. If I wanted huge ticket sales and actual run a promotion to make money it would be someone like Thundergold or Ricky Stallion.
If I was building for a fun promotion where money wasnt an issue someone like Tiki Boom
