Year 2 Cole Von Cole Special -- after year one and prior to year two, Cole Von Cole sat down with three influential figures about the year that was and the year to come.
Koneishoner CVC: Thanks for taking the time to sit down and talk to me today. I am interested to hear your thoughts about the AGPG. K: Thanks for having me Cole, we at the AGPG appreciate all of your hard work.
CVC: Thank you, let’s get right to it. Give me your review and assessment of the first year of the AGPG. K: Year 1 had us all on a high learning curve, but we feel like we’ve brought in a high level of grapplers here for the fans in all sectors.
CVC: What’s in store for year 2? K: Great question. We’ve signed some exciting new talent, some which debuted towards the end of the year, like the Chainsaw Cuties, and some the fans haven’t seen yet.
We also brought in an exciting attraction in Monument, that we will send on some tours of the sectors. Love him or hate him, and I have been on both sides of the fence, our current champ Ricky Stallion is great for business, and he faces some stiff competition from Cosmos King, former Champs Rampage and Kamala, as well guys who haven’t held titles yet like Great Scott, Big South, and Steve Stampede.
Also, this year we will have a couple long term competitions that we think will keep our fans entertained. We will discuss those and debut those when the time is right.
CVC: What are some changes fans will see this year? K: I can think of two big changes to start the year. First of all, we have temporarily dropped AEG from our tour. AEG will continue as a promotion and they are still affiliated with us, but they need to sort some things out. You may still see stars of theirs from time to time, but we just had too many problems there.
In AEG’s place, we are going to run through Nuevo Texas (pronounced Tay-hoss) and make stops at Galactic Class Championship Grappling run by Fritz Storm, the father of current AGPG and MAT star Kerry Storm.
Secondly, a number of grapplers have asked for support in handling their dealings both at ringside and on the business side. Powermonger pointed out in the bylaws that managers and handlers were allowed, so we will probably see more of that this year.
CVC: Do you think that might open up Pandora’s Box so to speak and cause more problems than it may solve, especially considering Powermonger was the one pushing so hard for this change? K: Possibly, but we are trying to listen to our grapplers.
CVC: Speaking of Powermonger… K: Obviously he and I have very different viewpoints, but, at the end of the day, I can see this he is under contract to the AGPG, he has paid his missed appearance fines, and I know he wants to be a big part of this company going forward. I will guarantee this though, it will be under our rules that he is a part of the company.
CVC: If you say so, okay finally, let’s play a little word association K: Okay, go ahead.
CVC: Ricky Stallion K: Champ
CVC: The fans K: The reason we do this.
CVC: Cosmos King K: A top draw
CVC: Powermonger K: Interesting
CVC: Thanks Koneish K: Thank you, Cole
Cole Von Cole with Powermonger
CVC: My next guess, certainly had a very interesting year in the AGPG. He formed the faction Powermonger Inc, he won the Intergalactic Grand Championship, he attempted to take over the AGPG, and he went missing. Powermonger, let’s start with the obvious question, where were you? PM: Cole, I don’t know why the people love you, but they do. To answer your question, I needed some time away. I had lost focus, I lost patience, I didn’t have a clear vision. I put my faith in the wrong people, and I needed some time away to gather myself, pool my resources, and move forward.
CVC: You reappeared at GrappleCade and helped Ricky Stallion retain the Intergalactic Grand Championship, what is your relationship with Stallion? PM: It’s a business partnership, one that started back in Mid-Atlantis. That is all you need to know. In all businesses, and the grappling business is no different, there is a need for mutually beneficial alliances. Ricky and I are of mutual benefit to each other, I think you are going to see this year that I am working on forming a lot of mutually beneficial alliances.
CVC: What does the coming year have in store for you? PM: You would love to know, so would the Koneish, and so would the fans. Last year I made my plans obvious, and looked to strike quickly, this year my goal is to be more systematic, to look deeper.
CVC: What do you mean by that? PM: You’ll have to wait and see.
CVC: Okay let’s play word association PM: That’s a stupid game, but your a stupid man, go ahead.
CVC: Rampage PM: Misguided, he needs leadership, I might know a guy.
CVC: Trunk PM: A failure/a mistake
CVC: Koneishoner PM: The people’s leader (said w/ a smirk)
The plan for the third interview was to interview Grappler of the Year, Rampage, but Rampage declined the interview, so Cole Von Cole’s third interview was with Intergalactic Grand Champion Ricky Stallion.
CVC: Welcome, Champ! RS: Thanks Cole, I know I wasn’t your first choice, but I’m here now, Daddy! Boom!
CVC: Tells us a little bit about the year that was, and your rise to the IGG Championship. RS: The IGG Championship, Boom! You and everyone already knew that Ricky Stallion was the top draw in the place, name on the marquee, picture on the poster. I climbed the ranks, and eventually got myself to the mountain top. Now that I am here I plan on enjoying the view and staying for a while. Boom!
CVC: Not only are you the IGG Champ, but you are also the face of the Hordsemen, by my count, the Hordsemen only have 2 right now and have been stuck on 2 most of the year. RS: The Hordsemen are the elite group in grappling today, Mr. Excellent is the best technical grappler in the game today. We do need two more guys, but those two need to be elite, they can’t be chumps. We got tricked by the Diamond Exchange, we were sold some swampland, but if you can’t run the Stallions, with the Thoroughbreds, you aren’t going to be a Hordsemen for long, and that’s what happened. We will fill those two spots, but we won’t make a mistake this time.
CVC: Talk about your relationship with Powermonger. RS: Powermonger is a businessman, Ricky Stallion is a businessman, sometimes businessmen come together to make business moves. That’s my relationship with Powermonger.
CVC: Let’s play word association. Cosmos King RS: Fraud
CVC: Diamond Exchange RS: Losers
CVC: Koneishoner RS: Hopefully he knows a good thing when he sees it.
CVC: Thanks Champ! RS: The pleasure has been all yours Von Cole, Boom!
