Just a little update as things move along. We're still packing packs in between school, work and activities. 1,500 packs is a lot.
As we work on this, it's taking a little longer than I thought, but still it's going great. We still plan to have things done and shipped in a couple weeks tentatively. I know everyone's excited as we are to get the cards, yet we want to make sure that everything is done right.
Before the cards are even shipped, we've created a couple chase cards separate from the actual ones that are to be. Upon packing, I noticed that the common card for Ken Po had an extra POP word with no numbers. This was supposed to be a second reversal. There's about 15 or so error cards that are already packaged, so collector's items have already started. We have sent off to have the regular cards done and they will enter the packs as well. But wait, there's more! About 15 Bobcat Jack Commons and his Rare card had 2 Hits and no Block. Not a big deal play wise,but I couldn't let that go, so there's 2 error cards for people to chase, along with the correct ones. Full disclosure: His foil will still have the 2 Hits and no Block, and the sole reason is because foils are too costly and time consuming to replace. They don't have the rapid turnaround time that the regular cards do, as they come from a separate company.
As much as I'd hoped this would be out by September, it was just a ballpark date. Honestly, by mid October to be out isn't all that bad as I've heard of many Kickstarters going months and even a year past their initial dates. In the end it will be worth it and then the madness of collecting can begin.
I've looked over the cards and don't believe there's any other glaring mistakes. I'm not saying there won't be any, but they should be minimal if so.
