In wrestling, there are a lot of titles with gimmicks attached to them. Do you/have you run any, what's the gimmick, and even what inspired the title(s)? For me, I run a lot of titles in my IFC, a lot of them with gimmicks. I have:
*Grand Prix (Central Space's main title) used to have a gimmick inspired by an FG gimmick, called Only the Best. You get Title Points (TP) depending on how dominant your match was, and you could trade the points in for shots at certain titles.
*Symbol of Power (Central Space's secondary title) which was inspired by Lucha Underground's Gift of the Gods Championship. It had representation of the 12 astral signs as opposed to the 7 tribes of the Aztecs, and at the start, it was a trade-off title similar to its inspiration. When vacant, it'd be fought for in a 12-person Gauntlet Match.
*Heritage (Mid Atlantis' main) which uses the game's rule of always being under 2 Out Of 3 Falls Matches. This was also my gimmick for the Intergalactic Grand Championship when I first started playing.
*Kombat (Fire Island's main) used to have a gimmick similar to the Impact Grand Championship in TNA. 3 rounds, all timed in 99 seconds real time, and I simulated 3 judges scoring the fight on the 10-point must system. No fight ever went to a decision.
*Openfight (Fire Island's secondary) had a lot of gimmicks. First it was contested under standard fighting game rules (99 seconds, real time, time limit goes to referee's decision, first to 2 rounds won wins the match) then it became like a sort of Hardcore Championship where it was only fought under specialty rules. Now, it's under more of PROGRESS Wrestling's retired Hyperion Championship, where it's only defended under rules dictated by the title holder (basically as long as the champion holds the title, every match for the title will be the same match type. For instance, say Death Star has it, and I pick Ladder Match, all title matches for that reign will be under Ladder Match rules)
*Terminal Velocity (Deep South's secondary) uses the game's rule of 5:05 time limit, with time limit going to the title holder, while simultaneously running with NWA's Lucky 7 Rule, but with 3 defenses instead.
*North Forest Heavyweight was born of my World Heavyweight Championship (basically the World Junior title's rules, but for 236+ lbs. fighters) which was born from the ISGP Openweight Championship, which was based on NOAH's GHC Hardcore Openweight Championship.
*"The Prize" (Industrial Land's main) uses the game's rule of being contested in only Blackout Matches.
*Back Alley Fight (Industrial Land's secondary) is a more free-form Hardcore title like how the Openfight used to be.
*Scientific (Spice Zone's secondary) uses the game's rules for the match type.
*Hyperspeed (GLITTER'S TV title) same as Terminal Velocity above, but it's 3 minutes and 5 defenses.
*Other Worldly Action (GLITTER) is like Stardom's SWA World Championship, where people from the same place cannot challenge the champion. For this instance, Earthlings can't challenge an Earth-born champion, and if an Otherworldly being shares a location, they can't challenge, either.
In the past, I've run:
*PMI Lethal Lottery: similar to Smoky Mountain's Beat the Champ TV Championship, the title is vacated after the 4th defense against a member of PMI (the supergroup) for money or a title shot.
*PMI Brass Knuckles: I used Crimson Cross's Savage Tools Glove rules, but changed the weapon to Brass Knuckles. This is an homage to old Brass Knuckles titles from the territories.
*PMI Marathon Medal: Inspired by FCW's Jack Brisco 15 Championship, it was pretty much note-for-note the same. Iron Man Matches (then called Marathon Matches) and the title was a medal instead of a belt.
*PMI Power Cup/Four Corner Cup: The original ruleset for this title was similar to a way TNA ran the X-Division in the mid-2010s, but with 4-ways instead of 3-ways. Whoever lost would be out of the current title rotation, the 2 not taking the fall stay for the next 4-way.
*ISGP Internet: same as the TV and Hyperspeed Championships, without the title trade-off rule.
*On the Clock: This was the secondary title of my Universe 2 version of Combat is Fun, and will come back when I make CiF my 10th Sector. It's a 24/7 rule title where I would roll on the Falls Count Anywhere Match chart for someone to attack the champion somewhere, and they would defend the belt under FCA Match rules.
