EDIT - have modified this to not offend people, so here is some basic info..
I rate them in this order if you are unsure. Best to follow up any interest with your own further research - cost, availability, other reviews etc
Collecting & non shuffling play - Toploaders (research the CT thickness).
Playing - Hard sleeves (playing grade) for heavy shuffling or Regular Card Sleeves All rounder -Penny Sleeves(soft). Cheap, versatile. A good option for non shuffling cards, lower importance cards being put into long storage.

Good advice. While these cards may never be worth a ton as this is a pretty niche market, given how thin the cards are, foil or not, and with black borders which also can cause issues with extended play, if you can afford it penny sleeve and top load your cards if you want them to stay looking their best.

Unrelated but how do you feel about penny sleeving and then putting in a top loader with the penny sleeve

Unrelated but how do you feel about penny sleeving and then putting in a top loader with the penny sleeve That's what I did with mine for now. And if I wind up selling them off, that is how I will ship them, individually sleeved and in hard top loaders. But I'm sure......nah....I'll wait to see if I'm right before I say anymore.....

Unrelated but how do you feel about penny sleeving and then putting in a top loader with the penny sleeve At first, I was just penny sleeving, but I have switched to penny sleeves and top loaders like I advised people to do in my post above. Adds some cost to the game, but it will be worth it in the long run.

Fair I still do just Top loaders for the ones I ship (and foils since I'm planning on trading them all a and don't want the foil to get scratched) and penny sleeve for the ones I use but am unsure if doing both adds a lot to it or is just excessive since I might start doing it to the ones I ship out.

Here below pic is an example of not sleeving a card and being naive to think a ring binder is enough to look after them..
My favourite set - The 1992 Dream team proudly at the front of the ring binder. All the front page of cards messed up in a move.
The inner three cards like Scottie here copped it the worse with a big folding crease all the way. Sleeves would not have stopped all the damage but it would have reduced the damage by giving more resistance to the impacts.
Even if I had the means I would not fix this error. As upsetting to see these. I keep the dream team cards as an ongoing reminder to myself to better take care of my hobbies.
I just hope no one else in the community goes thru this nightmare with GFP
Is this a lesson on not stacking heavy stuff on your binders? 😞

Adds some cost to the game, but it will be worth it in the long run. I have 4 sets of GFP running - not of Rumble - of all the cards ever.... The travel set gets a higher grade, snugger sleeve, as well as the pick up and play set. The master set (which is pretty close to complete - except for some of those bootleg sets - but has all official cards) and my daughter's set both get penny sleeves inside top loaders. Makes it way more expensive, but they are all protected. There is a 5th deck that is not big yet. That is my always in my backpack set, just in case I need to kill time at say an airport or getting chemotherapy. I have rolled out lots of matches waiting on doctors who "care so much" - eye roll!
