Bionic Elbow #6Pre-PPV Grand Championship ReportAt Throwdown #8, history was made, as we crowned a NEW Intergalactic Grand Champion! Celsius, the Sentinel of Vector 2, snapped the 9-0 undefeated streak of Punk A.D. in two straight falls to win the championship. He will go on to face Party Pirate at IFC #3, and Punk A.D., unfortunately, moves to the bottom of the rankings. After another three Throwdown shows, and we have two potential contenders after IFC #3. The first is Rocky, who garnered wins over The Messenger, Death Star, and Honest Abe, and the other is Tiki Boom, with wins over Warhawk, Krusher Khan, and Tick Tock. However, at IFC #3, Punk A.D. wants to make an example out of Rocky as he challenges him to an all or nothing fight. La Cerdita continues to make waves in the IFC, after not only winning her Sentinel Showdown fight, but is also undefeated with 2 wins in her Win Streak over Freakenstein and Bobcat Jack, and is hoping to reach her third win at IFC #3 when she faces Fahrenheit. A whole host of people reached one win on their Win Streaks, including The Messenger, Death Star, Vincitor and Honest Abe, among others. One of these people involves Little Miss Spookiness, who got her win against Mr. Ion. Fighter BiographiesDebuts continue here in the IFC, and with that, another set of Fighter Biographies. Let us start with the hero known as Mr. Ion.
Mr. Ion comes to us from Plorix. He is a well-renowned superhero, considered a celebrity where he comes from, who joined the IFC in order to, according to him, "ensure justice in this upstart fighting promotion after hearing the story of the monster known as Rabbid, as well as anyone who wishes to cause trouble." Though not very technical, he relies on striking power to dispense his brand of justice.
Buck Tomkins is a cowboy from El Prado. He is undefeated in bar brawls, and is a proficient gunslinger, but prefers his brawling style. He comes to the IFC to put his fighting to some use in a legal environment. Tomkins exhibits a more brawling style, making good use of his fists.
Finally, we move on to Butterfly Haley Jean. She comes from the planet Earth, specifically in New York. She carries on the memory of her brother by training to be a fighter after his untimely death. Coupled with her agility, she possesses an expertise in submissions. Bringing Home the BaconSomeone who has seen a lot of success in such a short time is La Cerdita. She made her debut defeating Saint Nick in dominating fashion, then continuing her winning ways by getting two points in her Win Streak, leaving her one step closer to a shot at the Grand Championship. She has gotten people to take notice, and she had this to say on the matter: "I never imagined being able to go so far in such short time. But I know I can't rest on my laurels just yet. There is still an uphill battle in front of me to get to the top. The H's on my mask and arm bands represent my real name, and I want my name to be uttered in the same vain as the legendary AniMen before me. If I want to reach the top, I have to once again conquer a Sentinel." Bionic Elbow #7IFC #3 ResultsAnother IFC pay-per-view has come and gone, and once again, we have a NEW IFC Grand Champion! Party Pirate captured the title from Celsius after a title match that was the first to hit 3 rounds. This marks the second title change in 2 shows after Celsius defeated Punk A.D. for the title. After the show, everyone in the IFC was invited to a party on his ship, with pints to go around for everyone.
La Cerdita continued her unbeaten ways by defeating yet another Sentinel in Fahrenheit in convincing fashion. With this win, she moves on to facing Party Pirate for the Grand Championship at the next numbered pay-per-view.
At the start of the show, we saw two straight dominant performances from Death Star and The Messenger, who won within seconds of their matches starting by hitting their signature moves. Post-PPV Championship ContentionAfter her big win, La Cerdita has made it to 3 wins, and is now in line for a Grand Championship match, and due to her undefeated record, she is being considered for a title shot before Tiki Boom, who is also in her section, and will face Party Pirate at IFC #4.
With 2 wins in their Win Streaks are Death Star, The Messenger, and Vincitor, who defeated Comet, Ken Po, and Freakenstein respectively, with Death Star and The Messenger defeating 0 win opponents.
Warhawk, Bobcat Jack, and Punk A.D. have all received their first win, with Punk A.D. getting his first win since losing the Grand Championship back at Throwdown #8 against Celsius.
Fahrenheit (1), Rocky (3), and Freakenstein (1) have all been sent to the bottom of the rankings with their respective defeats. Fighter BiographiesOur next set of Sentinel Showdowns have been set, and upon request from one of the fighters, all three will take place in one night, at IFC #10. This was requested due to all three fighters being in one collective group upon entering the Nil Zone. We start our round of biographies with the leader of this collective.
Hailing from Madrid, Spain, Powermonger is said to be one of the biggest crime bosses on the planet Earth. Before becoming a powerful kingpin, he was an accomplished Olympic wrestler and mixed martial artist. He was brought to the IFC by the Agents of Time's continued search of fresh talent, but does Powermonger have evil intentions upon his arrival?
As previously stated, Powermonger is not coming alone, as he has two oddities as part of his group. The first is the swamp monster Muck. He is seen as the heavy and insurance policy to Powermonger, softening up fighters for the crime boss to make the fight easier for him. Muck prefers overpowering opponents, and using his mucky appearance to his advantage.
He may not look like much now, but back in his living days, the zombie fighter now known as Stretchrrrr was a champion middleweight MMA fighter until the zombie apocalypse occurred in his home of Curtain Grove. Powermonger found Stretchrrrr wandering around a cemetary, and according to the crime lord himself, he found him putting a kimura on another zombie, and ripping his arm clean off. Seeing what the fighter can do even as one of the undead, he recruited Stretchrrrr into his team. Specialty Pay-Per-View AnnouncementThe Intergalactic Fight Club is dedicated to bringing you some of the best in combat sports entertainment. Before IFC #3, the ISGP met with the executives of Cosmo-Com to make an alteration to the pay-per-view schedule. There will still be a pay-per-view after every 3 Throwdown broadcasts, but starting with IFC #5, every 5 numbered pay-per-view events will have a special theme to it, and will usually include tournaments and other special attractions. This can also be used to establish a quick championship contender to bypass the 3 win system for the winner, with everyone involved being reset back to 0 as a cost.
The theme and subtitle for IFC #5 will be Champions of Infinity vs. Free Agents, where 10 of the 16 IFC fighters that were involved in the Champions of Infinity tournament will face 10 of the newcomers that have been coming in via the Sentinel Showdown, including the three involved in Throwdown #10, and any that come in during the Throwdown shows before the pay-per-view. Bionic Elbow #8Pre-PPV Grand Championship ReportAs we approach our fourth numbered IFC pay-per-view, we cover the latest occurrences involving Win Streaks. At Throwdown #12, Death Star defeated The Messenger to become a future contender to the Grand Championship. However, there is still the matter of Tiki Boom, who is also in the three point range. At IFC #4, we will have another Contendership Threatening Fight involving Punk A.D., who has built up two wins in his crusade to reclaim his former title. If Punk A.D. wins this fight, then Death Star will get a title shot at Throwdown #14 against either Party Pirate or La Cerdita. If Punk A.D. loses, then Tiki Boom gets that shot. In the standard Free Agent first point battle, Buck Tomkins defeated Butterfly Haley Jean at Throwdown #10 to get his first point. Another newcomer making waves is Little Miss Spookiness, who got her second win against Comet at Throwdown #12. Free Agent NewsDue to the circumstances involved with the last batch of Free Agents, we will have to wait until after IFC #5, after the next three Free Agents debut before Muck, Stretchrrrr and Powermonger compete for their first points. The next three Free Agents will make their debuts at Throwdown episodes 13 to 15, with their bios on Bionic Elbow being printed on the next issue after the pay-per-view.
Message from The MessengerOne person that is not happy about the debuts of Powermonger and his oddities is The Messenger, who had this to say to Bionic Elbow reporters. "We must focus our attention on this new group of fighters. They will bring about destruction not just to the IFC, but the vectors at large. This must be stopped before they get a chance to strike." Grand Stand: IFC #4 Heading into our big title fight at IFC #4, Bionic Elbow reporters have gotten a few final thoughts from both champion and challenger. We start this article with some words from the challenger herself, La Cerdita:
"I never would have expected to be in this position so quickly. Not long after I debuted here in the IFC, I have a shot at the Grand Championship, and amassed a small undefeated streak for myself. Right when I came here, if you asked me 'Do you see yourself becoming the Grand Champion?' I would have answered with uncertainty. Now, I can say without any hesitation that I WILL walk out of IFC #4 your NEW Grand Champion!"
And now, we move on to our champion, Party Pirate, who we admittedly had a hard time writing down for due to his colorful sea dialect:
"ARR! Little piglet, I must admit that I like yer moxie. Ya came in like a storm, and destroyed everythin' in yer path. But if ya want to get to me gold, ya must sink the Party Boat, and nothing in the Seven Seas can sink the Party Boat! When we meet in the cage, we will dance the Portside Jig before I force ya to walk the plank!"
