If you have read my IFC fed results, you may have noticed that marked on some fights is red text reading "Flawless Victory." Given IFC's fighting game inspiration, as well as my love of the genre, I decided to carry something over from it in my game. I figured now would be a good time to share what I do in case anyone is wanting to try it out.
A Flawless Victory is when a fighter wins without getting hit. The name comes from my favorite fighting game, Mortal Kombat. In the concept of my IFC, here is how it works:
To put all this in a practical example, let's pit Vincitor against Bobcat Jack.
With fights that are best of 3, each round is counted separate, so if one or both markers are gone from Round 1, put them back for Round 2. If a fighter gets 2 Flawless Victories, the second is referred to as a Double Flawless.
Of course, there are some alterations you can make. For instance, you can have it so Block doesn't count as damage, like it can be set in a fighting game. You may even give it a different name, like Perfect. If there are any concerns, let me know.
Note: If Trixster (March Fight Pass) rolls his DQ rating of 6 successfully, and his opponent still has their marker, remove it. If not, the opponent is able to avoid it, and the marker stays. For Trixster himself, his marker is unaffected in both scenarios.
A Flawless Victory is when a fighter wins without getting hit. The name comes from my favorite fighting game, Mortal Kombat. In the concept of my IFC, here is how it works:
- I put a marker near each fighter before a match (For me, I use a penny.)
- When a competitor is hit, move the marker away from the fighter.
- The following actions on the card counts as hits:
1. Hit
2. Block
3. Fast Forward
4. POP
5. FINISHER
2. Block
3. Fast Forward
4. POP
5. FINISHER
- The following actions count as avoiding damage:
1. Dodge
2. NAME
2. NAME
- Rumble Rating does not count in tracking this.
- And of course, the unharmed fighter must win the fight.
- If Vincitor rolls his Fast Forward in the initiative roll, Bobcat Jack's marker is removed, as he will be rolling his POP.
- If Bobcat Jack on Negative - rolls either Hit or POP, remove Bobcat Jack's marker.
- If Bobcat Jack on Negative - rolls Block, remove the marker, as the block can be considered chip damage.
- If Vincitor rolls KINNIKU SPECIAL, remove Bobcat Jack's marker.
- If Bobcat Jack on Negative - rolls either Dodge or BOBCAT JACK, do not remove the marker, as he avoided taking damage.
- If either roll Rumble Rating, do not remove from the losing competitor, as this can be seen as a battle for control, and no damage is inflicted.
