Card #88 - iPod Music Hall - Iron Age Combat
Free Agent Showcase: Sundog Spot defeated Josh Johnson (DQ - Cane Smash) Soldier Ant defeated Knuckles Sanvich (KO - Strike Force) Duos Match: Turbo & Nitro defeated Fahrenheit & Celsius (Turbo over Fahrenheit by KO - After Effect) Last Chance Battle: L.A. Rizin defeated Death Star SE (KO - Hollywood Hammer) so Death Star SE is gone from IAC Torn defeated Lionheart (TKO - Torn Asunder) Duos Match: Mega Power & Soda City Slugger defeated Nerio & Mantus (Soda City Sugger over Nerio by KO - Say Hey!) Space Monkey defeated Punxsutawney Bill (KO - Up Kick) IAC Heavyweight title: Punk A.D.© defeated Stretchrrrr (KO - Power Bomb - D.O.H.) to retain the title
Promoter Notes: The main event at iPod Music Hall was a thriller between reigning IAC Heavyweight champion Punk A.D. and the inaugural champion Stretchrrrr in what was their rematch for the championship. Stretchrrrr brought his A game and had Punk A.D. on the ropes several times, nearly regaining the championship. The D.O.H. factored into things heavily in favor of the champion who had several chances to thwart off a defeat. The brutal finish saw Stretchrrrr survive the 85' Special but an alert Punk A.D. drew on the deck to deliver a crushing Power Bomb resulting in a KO decision. It was a crucial win for Punk A.D. who survived his version one defense of the title. Powermonger showed up after the match raising the arm of the champion before pulling him in and glaring at the title belt. Punk A.D. shoved him off and glared back at the IAC founder teasing a potential championship match between the two.
With the Swamp Beasts (Muck & Grim) winning the inaugural IAC Duos title tournament, a number of teams are trying to position themselves as challengers and both the NuBreed (Turbo & Nitro) and the Power Sluggers (Mega Power & Soda City Slugger) made strong statements on this night. The Power Sluggers defeated Decadence (Nerio & Mantus) in a great back and forth affair that saw Sodia City Slugger score the KO on Nerio with Say Hey! The NuBreed, who lost to the Swamp Beasts in the tournament final, also scored a big win over the Elementals (Fahrenheit & Celsius) by KO with the devastating After Effect. It will be interesting to see which team is granted the first title opportunity against the Swamp Beasts.
One Duos team that will not get that opportunity are Dark Forces (Rabbid & Death Star SE) as Death Star SE is no longer a part of IAC. That is because Death Star SE lost to L.A. Rizin in a Last Chance Battle, a match which Rizin rallied to win by KO with the Hollywood Hammer. Death Star SE was livid over the loss and had to be carried out of the arena by security. The unpredictable Crazy Monkey has now been signed to an IAC contract to take the spot of Death Star SE on the roster. As for Rizin, he and his Duos partner Torn of the Storm Riders can still have a shot in the IAC Duos division. Torn also posted a big singles win by defeating Lionheart by TKO with Torn Asunder in a great battle. Lionheart had the same reaction over losing as Death Star SE and was carried off by security as he screamed at Torn - "You just made he List!"
In other action: A battle of fan favorites saw Space Monkey post a big win over Punxsutawney Bill winning a torrid battle by KO with the Up Kick. Bill now finds himself on the Last Chance Battle bubble as the loss dropped him to the bottom of the rankings with a 2-8 overall record...Soldier Ant posted another big win beating Knuckles Sanvich by KO with Strike Force...and, a Free Agent battle saw Sundog Spot come away with a disqualification victory over Josh Johnson when Johnson smashed Spot with his cane.

Great action once again! What a battle between Punk and Stretcherrr! Sounds like Punk had his hands full, but pulled it out! The deck of heck has always provided me with some crazy outcomes, and I see it lended itself to you in the same manner! The tease between Punk and Powermonger was cool! I look forward to the trios match, as that is stacked with talent, as well as the Universal Heavyweight Championship Match. The Messenger should never be taken lightly, as he could upset Gold. Keep up the good work buddy!

A fun IAC card with Sundog Spot earning a win even via disqualification, but too bad Stretchrrrr could not take that a-game and win the gold, but then again it sounded like a fun title match...

Reviler and Crimson, that Punk A.D. vs. Stretchrrrr match was amazing. There were so many twists and turns and either guy could have won but unfortunately for Stretchrrrr the deck, as in the D.O.H., was literally stacked against him. Punk drew on that and actually rolled a 6-6 for the power bomb, the first time I have ever had that happen on a roll off the cards. It seemed an appropriate way for the match to end.

Out of all the cards in the Deck of Heck, I only got the Powerbomb result once in my feds entire first year. The rest that need a specific combo to happen, have not happened yet. It is always a surprise, but also appropriate when the cards like that determine the outcome of a match!

Just getting caught up. Really good stuff. Crazy to have the D.O.H factor into the end like that.

Thanks reviler13 and jjaconetti. It is so hard to get those D.O.H. rolls and to date that is the only one I have had happen and it was a mark out moment for sure. I'm posting my next show soon. As always, sorry for the long delay between shows but as usual real life is getting in the way.

Card #89 - Mercury Gardens Arena - Global Battle Federation
Free Agent Showcase: Trunk defeated Desert Marine (KO - Alt-Right Hook) Yoko-Ohno defeated La Estrella Negativa (KO - Super Fuji Drop) Duos Match: Bobcat Jack & Manny Fernandez defeated Ken Po & Mr. Ion (Bobcat Jack over Ken Po by KO - Superman Punch - Fast Forward) Vincitor defeated Sledge Hammerstein (KO - Muscle Buster) The Auditor defeated Saint Nick (TKO - Taxation) Trios Match: Dragon Blood, Crimson Cross & Freakenstein defeated Ricky Stallion, Olympia & Outlaw (Crimson Cross over Ricky Stallion by KO - Bombjack) War Hawk defeated Rocky (KO - War Dance - Ultra Fast Forward) GBF Universal Heavyweight Championship: Thunder Gold© defeated The Messenger (KO - Thunderstruck) to retain the title
Promoter Notes: A big night of action at the Mercury Gardens Arena saw a slew of twists and turns in the final three matches that have had ramifications on Monster Wars 2 which takes place at Gotham Square Garden (Card #100) featuring the stars of the GBF, IAC and Glitter. First up it was a Trios Match that saw Dragon Blood and Cross-Freak (Crimson Cross & Freakenstein) take on the Four Hordesmen team of Ricky Stallion, Olympia & Outlaw. JJ Houston of the Hordesmen was barred from ringside by the referee before the action got underway. Stallion, who has been very vocal about challenging for the GBF Universal Heavyweight title at Monster Wars 2, suffered a serious setback as he was defeated by Crimson Cross via KO after taking the Bombjack ending a wild battle. Stallion was furious afterward and had to be held back by Olympia and Outlaw as Crimson taunted him from the other side of the cage. Stallion grabbed the mic and said that no matter what he is getting that title shot at Monster Wars 2.
Up next in the semi-final were two popular stars squaring off as Rocky took on War Hawk. Rocky recently survived a Last Chance Battle to remain in the GBF and came out guns blazing hoping to score a big win. War Hawk, the inaugural GBF Universal Heavyweight champion, showed great resilience as he battled back and hit the War Dance via an Ultra Fast Forward from the D.O.H. to pick up a KO win. War Hawk helped Rocky up after the bell and raised his arm in a show of respect drawing cheers from the crowd. Then as War Hawk tried to return to the back he was blindsided by The Messenger who was on his way to the cage to take on GBF Universal Heavyweight champion Thunder Gold. The Messenger brutally assaulted War Hawk including spearing him into the cage wall before entering the cage himself and daring the champion to come out...
With paramedics tending to War Hawk, an irate Thunder Gold rushed into the cage and went toe-to-toe with The Messenger in a battle for the ages with the GBF Universal Heavyweight title at stake. The action was very intense with each man surviving the finisher of the other before Thunder Gold hit a second dose of Thunderstruck to vanquish his challenger, a former two-time GBF Universal Heavyweight champion. War Hawk, his head and ribs taped up, then shockingly got into the cage and began pounding away on The Messenger as officials attempted to separate them. Thunder Gold even got involved pulling War Hawk off of The Messenger and convincing him to leave the cage.
Just when things appeared to be calmed down, Ricky Stallion and the rest of the Four Hordesmen entered the cage. Stallion went straight up to Thunder Gold and challenged him to a title match at Monster Wars 2. As the Hordesmen surrounded him, the champion braced for an attack but he got backup as Dragon Blood and Cross-Freak ran in to even the odds setting off a chaotic four-way battle. When the smoke cleared it was Thunder Gold and his allies standing tall as the Hordesmen beat a hasty retreat. Crimson Cross then grabbed the mic and called out Stallion saying that his KO loss earlier left his top contender status in question and said that he doesn't deserve the title shot. Stallion was livid and had to be restrained by the rest of the Hordesmen from trying to return to the cage.
What all of this means is that the IFC, the parent company of the GBF as well as IAC and Glitter, ordered a press conference the next day where it was announced that Stallion will have to face Cross at the North Cal Coliseum (Card #93) with the winner of that match getting the title shot against GBF Universal Heavyweight champion Thunder Gold at Monster Wars 2. They also announced that the first ever Indian Strap Match will take place at the big event with War Hawk taking on The Messenger. In addition, it was announced that Monster Wars 2 will also be part of a huge weekend featuring the first ever Tim Rocket Sr. Memorial Duos Tournament honoring the legendary promoter. The two-day tournament will feature teams from the GBF, IAC and invited Free Agent teams and will take place at The Palace of Route 66 (Card #98) and the Battle Dome (Card #99) preceding Monster Wars 2 at Gotham Square Garden (Card #100).

Card #90 - Miller Hi-Lite Center - Iron Age Combat
Free Agent Duos Showcase: Bobby Bomb & Stan Manley defeated Crusher Lebrewski & Milwaukee Beast (Stan Manley over Crusher Lebrewski by KO - Sledge-O-Matic) Crazy Monkey defeated Mega Power (Submission - Monkey's Uncle) Nikita Koloff defeated Mantus (KO - Russian Sickle) Duos Match: Turbo & Nitro defeated Ricky Riot & Robby Rocket (Nitro over Ricky Riot by KO - System Shock) Soldier Ant defeated Lionheart (KO - Thorax Punch) Trios Match: Trixster, Fahrenheit & Celsius defeated Txur'Itan, Muck & Grim (Fahrenheit over Grim by TKO - Doctor Stoppage)
Promoter Notes: The main event of a six bout card was a wild Trios Match which saw the unpredictable Trixster join forces with the Elementals (Fahrenheit & Celsius) to take on Txur'Itan and the IAC Duos champions the Swamp Beasts (Muck & Grim). Both sides unleashed some serious offensives as well as plays from the D.O.H. with the latter having an affect on the outcome of the match. Fahrenheit was mixing it up with Grim in the end with Grim getting busted open above the eye. The wound was determined too dangerous to allow the match to continue so it was Trixster and the Elementals winning it by TKO due to Doctor Stoppage. It was a controversial end to the match and the Swamp Beasts were none too happy as they laid down a challenge to the Elementals. That means that Fahrenheit & Celsius will challenge the Swamp Beasts for the IAC Duos Championship on the next card at the Parts Unknown Coliseum (Card #92).
The NuBreed (Turbo & Nitro) earned a nice reward with their victory over the Rocket Riot Express (Ricky Riot & Robby Rocket) in Duos action. The IFC, the parent company of the GBF and IAC, announced afterward that the NuBreed are the first Duos team added to the sixteen-team Tim Rocket Sr. Memorial Duos Tournament which takes place during Monster Wars 2 weekend. Turbo & Nitro got the win via KO when they hit System Shock, a double knee attack, on Riot.
In other action: Soldier Ant posted a big win over Lionheart, winning the match by KO after hitting a Thorax Punch. Lionheart dominated most of the match but fell in the end prompting him to add Soldier Ant to The List as he threw a post-match tantrum...The "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff has not had the success he has hoped for in IAC but his win over Mantus, one-half of Decadence with Nerio, may set him off in the right direction. Koloff looked strong in victory which he achieved by hitting his feared Russian Sickle...Crazy Monkey made a terrific debut in IAC scoring a quick win over the highly rated Mega Power...and, Midnite Dynamite (Bobby Bomb & Stan Manley) survived a strong attack from Beer Inc. (Crusher Lebrewski & Milwaukee Beast) to win their Free Agent Duos Showcase match. Beer Inc. dominated right until the end when Midnite Dynamite hit the Sledge-O-Matic for the win. As with the NuBreed, the free agent combination of Midnite Dynamite have been awarded a spot in the Tim Rocket Sr. Memorial Duos Tournament.
