The IFC pack I sent you way back is still the same one I send it now. There's a new jump on point with the Champions of Time set and the Free Agents 2. All are good points to play from.

I’m going to need that set again. It looks like most of these sets and cards work together regardless of what sets I get ya? Maybe I’ll just grab a few random and see how it goes. I liked it the first time I played around with it.

It's what I like most about the game...you as the player essentially create your "own" World...everything is up to your imagination.

So I have a quick question. I know the game prides itself on the “anybody can beat anybody” theory but are there cards specifically designed to be better or worse than others?
It’s been awhile so maybe things have changed but I remember somebody saying you’d never get a Monolith situation where most guys just can’t beat him. While I can absolutely appreciate a scenario where anybody can win, I’m a big fan of rather tough cards that are hard to beat (as well as underdogs who can pull upsets).
Which sets should I be looking at for the top cards in GFP?
Appreciate the answers so far!

Just grab a bunch of cards and see where it goes. I assume there are storylines and character bios that can be followed as closely or as loosely as a player would want ya?

I would say Fight Pass (the GFPs Promoter Prime) has most of the tougher cards, but you can find some tough ones in the Champions of Time release as well as ICOF. I think the Free Agents 2 also has some cards that would be considered tougher than usual. Hope this helps!

ICOF has a number of cards with multiple finishers or multiple power plays, etc. In FA2 Disturbed Youth has a finisher that 3 values and Shane Stud has a power play with 3 values, giving them an advantage. There are other guys as well, but no one quite in the Monolith world

Appreciate the feedback, fellas. Sometimes I think maybe some GWFZ guys could be cool in GFP. I’d like to see a good relationship between GPF and FG. Mixing and matching or whatever. Imagine a popular GFP guy with a Kronos card.
Anyways I’m gonna pick up a few sets here soon. The Champions of Time set looks pretty sweet. Thanks again.

Thanks for helping him out with questions, guys. A working relationship with FG wouldn't be bad. I've never had any ill will towards them and never really set out to compete, this was just a little project in the beginning that has taken in a life of its own. Almost 5 years in, I didn't think I'd be here, but with support from great people had kept it viable. I'll get your order out soon, thank you for that and I hope you like it.

I personally think it would be cool to get my GWFZ characters in the GFP format. As far as sets go I think the Champions of Time is most well rounded. ICOF is cool, but you will definitely see some of them being OP compared to the regular IFC and Glitter.

I’d say that that remains primarily for the standard cards. Eric has created ways to have stronger cards that do end up winning more. The simple mechanics have really come to a great point as of CoT. Even with the small of amount of stats, Eric has created ways for characters to do what they are somewhat created to do.

Received my cards today and everything looks great! Really love the secret envelope card that is not to be opened until the Elite 8 have been defeated. Fun! Thanks Eric for the extra stuff. Very generous of you. Looking forward to breaking open the packs and rolling some fights soon.
