FED: GFP Promotions (I know, I know...not exactly original!) proudly presents Go!Fight!Pow!, a wrestling federation committed to no holds barred competition (in other words, brawlers from all parts of the galaxy welcome!). FED HQ: Located in Memphis, TN, on good ol' Planet Earth. Long a home of rough and ready wrestling, Memphis was a natural to play host city to this new promotion. FOUNDING: June 7th, 2017 To kick things off for GFP, we proudly present the inaugural... World Championship Tournament
Card #1
Group A Bracket 1st Round (Winner of Group A will Face the Winner of Group B, from Card #2, for the inaugural GFP World Championship on Card #3. Competitors chosen, at least somewhat, randomly!): *Demtor d. U.K. Bruiser (**1/4) *Tiki Boom d. Manny Fernandez (***) *Ricky Stallion d. War Hawk (***3/4) *Ken Po d. Ravi Shing (**3/4) *Women's Match: The All-American Gal Kay Fabe (yea!) d. Mother Russia (boo!) (**1/4). Can Kay Fabe ride this momentum to eventually become the first GFP Women's Champion?? .............Intermission.................. 2nd Round of Group A Bracket: *Demtor d. Tiki Boom (**) *Ken Po d. Ricky Stallion (****...Steamboat-Flair, anyone??) Main Event: Group A Final Match
*Ken Po d. Demtor to win the Group A Bracket, and will advance to face the winner of the next card's Group B Bracket for the inaugural GFP World Championship (**). Card Notes:
*By virtue of being the runner-up in Group A, Demtor earns one of two places in the match for the GFP's secondary title, the Heritage Championship. This will also take place on Card 3 (gonna be a big card folks!), and Demtor will face the runner-up from Group B. *Match of the night was Stallion vs. Ken Po, which to me had a very Steamboat-Flair feel to it. Runner-up was Stallion vs. War Hawk (and that had a very Flair-Wahoo feel to it!). *Demtor, even for a mystic, seemed unusually dark and brooding after his loss to Ken Po. Ken Po better watch his back, and check himself for any unusual symptoms heading into the big match for the World Title! That'll do it GFP fans. Thanks for your fine patronage, and have a great evening!

Couple of other fed notes:
*I've played my GWF fed as a Kronos-style fed for many years, meaning that whatever wrestlers I feel like using, I just use them (regardless of official storyline). I will do the same with GFP, but will certainly use their storyline as a guideline for future development.
*Yes, I've planted my fed firmly on Earth, but in this "world", just like in COTG, we are not alone, and that's just fine with me. I also did this because I wasn't entirely sure of the origin story of the IFC...is there anywhere on the forum that gives a synopsis of how the IFC got started? Thanks for any guidance.
Thanks for reading along folks!

A fun approach to your fed and seeing Ken Po taking Group A is cool stuff. I can see Ken Po as a Steamboat, plus you may not know this and that there is a character that's a homage toward Steamboat in the International Incident set...

I have International Incident CC...but I'm blanking. Which character is the homage to Steamboat? I should've paid closer attention!

Dragon Blood ewt answered for me, I didn't want to say if you didn't have the set, but then I should've noticed you do have the set with Ravi Shing being in action and I blanked on that one...

Thanks guys. That's a "duh" on my part, because I did see Dragon Blood when going through the sets.

Ravi Shing is a homage to Rude. Also Ken Po is a homage to Ryu from Street Fighter...which there's a "little" bit of homage to that in the game

Card #2
Group B Matches (World Title Tournament):
*Honest Abe d Powermonger (**). *El Halcon d. Gran Cazador (**). Gran Cazador was humiliated in this one, getting blasted with 2 straight El Halcon Punches! *Vincitor d. Bobcat Jack (**1/4). *Deathstar d. Lionheart (*3/4)
Women's Match: Sidistic d. Paige (**).
.......Intermission.......
Group B Matches continue:
*El Halcon d. Deathstar (**). *In an early Match of the Year Candidate, Vincitor survived...emphasis on "survived"...Honest Abe (*****). The match was a marathon, and one wonders if Vincitor can last another match after this one!
Main Event: One fall, to determine the winner of Group B!
*And to answer the previous question, somehow Vincitor had enough in the tank to defeat El Halcon to take Group B, and earn the second slot in the World Championship match coming up on Card #3! By virtue of being runner up, El Halcon will face Demtor for the inaugural Heritage Championship in the Semi-Main event of card #3.
Be sure to get your tickets for Card #3, which promises not one, but 2 big title matches. That'll do it for tonight GFP fans. Thanks for your fine patronage, and have a great evening!

Fun action and I'm picking Ken Po over Vincitor for the World Championship, plus I take Demtor to secure the Heritage Title over El Halcòn...

(Well, you guys were one for 2 in your World Title picks!)
Card #3
*Tick Tock & Rabbid d. The Rocket Riot Express in tag-team action (**). *Blossom d. Amanda in Women's action (**1/4). *Bobcat Jack d. Krusher Khan (**1/2). *Mega Power d. The Messenger (***).
.......Intermission.........
Semi-Main Event: El Halcon d. Demtor for the inaugural Heritage Championship in a strong match (****). Gran Cazador immediately issued a challenge for a rematch!
Main Event: Ken Po captured the inaugural GFP World Championship by defeating Vincitor in another good contest (***1/2). As Ken Po was presented the World Title belt, he was suddenly and viciously attacked by Demtor, who obviously had some leftover hostility from the first time they met! Ken Po was busted wide open, and fans booed loudly at the interruption to the World Title ceremony. GFP officials immediately moved to condemn the attack, and it remains to be seen what will come of this...
That'll do it for tonight fans. Thanks for your fine patronage, and have a great evening!

Good fights on that show and Ken Po winning was cool and then Demtor attacking was wild stuff, too bad Demtor could not win the Heritage title...

Thanks CC. I didn't know if Demtor was technically a face or a heel...but in my world, he's a heel!

Card #4:
*Knuckles Sanvich d. Manny Fernandez (*1/2). Manny can't buy that first win. *Tick Tock d. Hollywood Gunn (**). *War Hawk d. Ricky Stallion (*1/4). Goodnight Stallion as War Hawk gains revenge in this return bout. *Women's Match: Nukeleah d. Chloe Cosmos (**). 4 women have now emerged as victors in the first 4 Women's matches in GFP history, those being Nukeleah, Blossom, Sidistic, and Kay Fabe. These 4 will be re-seeded, and will face off, as the march towards the first Women's Champion continues!
.........Intermission.........
*The Messenger d. Ravi Shing (**1/2).
MAIN EVENT: Dragon Blood d. Mega Power (***). Good initial match up between rivals!
Next Card: Be sure to tune in for Card #5, as the Main Event will feature El Halcon defending his Heritage Title against the challenge of Gran Cazador! Demtor & X'ian will team up against Bobcat Jack & War Hawk in tag action!
That'll do it GFP fans. Thanks for your fine patronage, and have a great evening!
