PROMOTER'S NOTE: As always, life gets in the way sometimes...but I'm back and my goal is to post results weekly. I've decided to try something a little different, but maintain continuity with the story I was telling in my "Year One" thread. I hope you enjoy it!
Tick Tock’s reign of terror and oppression was extremely short-lived. During the “Culling,” Maleve’s team decimated Tick Tock and his entourage; not a single member of the commissioner’s team lost. After banishing the threat, Maleve no longer heard from her mysterious benefactor. Despite the benefactor’s strange disappearance, she led the IFC into a period of peace and prosperity; competition was fierce and many of the smaller regions throughout the galaxy begin their own fight leagues. The IFC was gaining intergalactic recognition and growing into a unifying force for all the galaxy’s citizens...until he arrived. Powermonger’s takeover of the IFC was quick and decisive. Maleve tried to fight back, forming the Crows...a group of 12 fighters loyal to the original IFC who sought to defeat the “Eight” and end PowerMonger’s control. One by one, each of the Crows took the challenge and one by one they all failed. While the Crows fought to regain control, PowerMonger sought to crown a new Intergalactic Grand Champion. He stripped Bobcat Jack of the title when Bobcat aligned with the Crows and set up a large tournament. Many thought the winner would be the champion, but PowerMonger had other plans. The night of the tournament, though, PowerMonger announced the winner would face him for the coveted championship. All-Earth champion Dante Giordano, looking to reestablish IFC as an honorable endeavor, dominated his part of the bracket and faced Rabbid in the finals. After a long, brutal contest, Rabbid overcame Dante and won the tournament. With Dante in the cage, Rabbid beckoned for PowerMonger to enter...Rabbid wanted to battle for the championship now! Immediately following the bell, Rabbid laid down on the mat. With shock and disgust, Dante watched as the situation forced the ref to rule the match in favor of PowerMonger. Dante tried to confront PowerMonger, but was jumped by Rabbid and others who had aligned with the new champion. PowerMonger, proudly wearing the Grand Championship around his waist, watched and laughed. After seeing the blatant disrespect for the spirit of competition and complete disregard for the integrity of the championship, Dante and others left the now corrupt IFC. Some fighters followed the Crows example and battled PowerMonger’s “Eight”; others just disappeared. Many of fighters that left joined smaller sectors like Mid-Atlantis, but others ventured far to the outskirts of the galaxy. One group, featuring those of the more mysterious, flamboyant, and monstrous fighters, found themselves at a great and abandoned cathedral. There, far from PowerMonger’s corrosive reach, these fighters embraced their uniqueness and established the Syndicate of Fantastic Combat. Wary of one person in control, the Syndicate established a 5-person council to determine championship contenders and resolve disputes. Furthermore, the council will be primarily composed of the Syndicates champions thereby ensuring that the fighters themselves will have a say in the SFC’s operation. Let the Syndicate of Fantastic Combat take form...and let all take notice! Attachments:

The abandoned cathedral provided little evidence of its previous parishioners, but a little exploration uncovered one of their fundamental “foundations:” triumph through teamwork. The Council decided to honor this foundation by establishing the TRIumph Battle Master Championship. This championship is contested in matches the SFC calls “Battles.” Battles are simply six-man tag matches contested under elimination rules; the team with any survivors at the end of the match is the victor. Further emphasizing the importance of this championship, the Battle Master Champions will have three of the 5 votes on the council. The tournament to crown the first TRIumph Battle Master Champions is a single-elimination event and will consist of 8 teams: - The Cult: Harrow, Hex, and Franny Stein
- CCRC: DesertMarine, FireStopper, and Mickey
- Lucha Honor: El Pikador, Serenity, and El Halcon
- LazerMan, AirWolf, and Bien Vestido
- The Sunroar Dynasty: Ellepatra, Diamond Baettle, and Lady Sunbird
- Vain, Muck, and Lil Miss Spookiness
- Unreachables: Enigma, Shadow, and Vampiress
- Tiki Boom, Dragon Blood, and Txur’itan
First Round: Match 1: The CCRC quickly dispatched the Cult, eliminating all three of their opponents without losing a single member. All three members of the CCRC eliminated an opponent. The CCRC looked like a well-drilled and discipline unit. Match 2: In a battle of lucha-like teams, Lucha Honor defeated LazerMan, AirWolf and Bien Vestido three eliminations to none. El Pikador led the team with two of the three eliminations. Match 3: Vain, Muck, and Lil’ Miss Spookiness easily overcame the Sunroar Dynasty, three eliminations to none. Vain led the team with two eliminations; his final elimination of Ellepatra ended with Vain placing a rose on her chest. Match 4: In the match of the round, the Unreachables overcame Tiki Boom, Dragon Blood, and Txur’itan. Winning three eliminations to one, all members gained an elimination; Vampiress was the only member of the team eliminated (Dragon Blood).

I love that logo, awesome stuff. Too bad the Sunroar Dynasty lost, but I do like seeing the CCRC winning by crushing their opponents and this new approach is fun stuff...

SFC 1: TRIumph Battle Championship Tournament (Part 2)
Second Round:
Match 1: Vain, Muck, and Lil’ Miss Spookiness gained an improbable win over the Lucha Honor team. After Muck and Lil’ Miss were quickly eliminated, Vain rattled off 3 straight eliminations to lead his team to the finals.
Match 2: In what could be the match of the tournament, the CCRC defeated the Unreachables three eliminations to two. After Mickey dispatched Vampiress, Shadow and Enigma put up a great battle. It came down to Mickey and Enigma, with a Twist of Yarn sealing the victory for General Shuck’s CCRC!
Triumph Battle Masters Championship: Vain, Muck, and Lil’ Miss Spookiness defeated the CCRC three eliminations to none. Despite the final result, the first fall was an epic battle that saw all members of each team shine. In particular, Mickey showed why she is the heart and soul of the CCRC...constantly battling back from near loss and gaining some near falls of her own. Ultimately, Mickey fell to Muck for the first elimination...and it took the wind right of the rest of her team.
General Shuck, although a bit disappointed in the loss, was very pleased with his team’s overall performance. “Great battle, troopers...this one will make us even stronger. We will be ready next time. And yes, there will be a next time!” Mickey, DesertMarine, and FireStopper all nodded in firm agreement.
Donning their new championship belts, the TRIumph Battle Master Champions were all smiles. Vain looks off into the distance with a love-sick face: “Now that we control the council, maybe I can win control of her heart.” Lil’ Miss Spookiness rolled her eyes and Muck made some disgusted guttural sound.

That was a fun event with TRIumph Battle Master Tournament and my CCRC might have lost, but I enjoyed the whole tournament... Thanks! It was a blast to play through. I can't overstate the epic battle that took place during that first fall of the finals...massive double teams followed by perfectly timed power-plays. It was edge-of-the-seat action! I'll be introducing my main singles championship soon...

At the end of the TRIumph Battle Masters tournament, the cathedral had a slight glow and began to shake ever so slightly. Astonished by what they witnessed, spectators and fighters alike took it as a good omen. A short time later, explorers uncovered another of the fundamental foundations: glorify the forefathers. The Council, along with its newest members, agreed to sanction the Ancestral Majesty Championship. A singles championship, it is defended against three other competitors in a double elimination gauntlet match; four competitors to honor the forefathers, whoever...or whatever...they may have been. SFC 2: Ancestral Majesty Championship
The first round will have twenty-four competitors battle in six matches. The six winners will advance, along with two fighters selected from among those that lost. The next round will have the 8 competitors battle in two matches. As in the first round, the finals will consist of each winner of the two groups and two fighters selected from the remaining six. The winner of the final bout will become the first Ancestral Majesty Champion. - Group 1: General Shuck, Serenity, Enigma, and Diamond Baettle.
- Group 2: El Halcon, Hexx, DesertMarine, and Gran Cazador.
- Group 3: Lady Sunbyrd, Harrow, Txur’itan, and Shadow.
- Group 4: Lazer Man, Mickey, Vain, and Tiki Boom.
- Group 5: Dragon Blood, El Pikador, Air Wolf, and Ellepatra.
- Group 6: Vampiress, Bien Vestido, Franny Stein, and FireStopper.
First Round
Group 1: Serenity and Diamond Baettle began the match, with Enigma at three and General Shuck entering last. Serenity defeated both Diamond Baettle and Enigma in good contests but submitted to General Shuck’s CONGO CLAW. General Shuck went on to win the match, gaining straight victories over Diamond Baettle, Enigma, and Serenity. Of particular note, the bout between the General and Enigma was an exhilarating contest that allowed both fighters to demonstrate their exceptional skills and resilience. Group 2: DesertMarine and Hexx battled first, with Gran Cazador and El Halcon waiting. DesertMarine started out on a tear, ripping through Hexx, Gran Cazador, and El Halcon. The time in the cage wore on Desert Marine...despite a good effort he lost to Hexx and her GUIDING LIGHT. Gran Cazador, though, quickly dispatched Hexx with EL GRAN FINAL. El Halcon, though, landed a quick EL HALCON PUNCH on the large masked man; El Cazador left the cage, but his eyes burned through El Halcon as he departed. For the final fall, El Halcon quickly defeated DesertMarine (FAST FORWARD) to secure the win.

Cool title concept. Glad to see someone else using the Double Elimination Gauntlet or the Scramble, in my fed. Those are pretty fun to do, and the time I saw it in real life was pretty good.

Cool title concept. Glad to see someone else using the Double Elimination Gauntlet or the Scramble, in my fed. Those are pretty fun to do, and the time I saw it in real life was pretty good. Thanks! Since you posted the various Gauntlet matches, I've wanted to do something with them. I felt having a championship for that type of match would make for some pretty interesting stories. And I agree...they are a lot of fun!

SFC2: Ancestral Majesty Championship Tournament (cont)
First Round:
Group 3: In this group, Harrow and Txur’itan were first, followed by Shadow and Lady Sunbyrd. Txur’itan quickly dispatched Harrow with KIM’PXEX, but lost a good contest to Shadow via SOUL BLIGHT. Shadow and Lady Sunbyrd had a heck of a fight, ending with Lady Sunbyrd hitting a devastating SUNBYRD STRIKE. Harrow, though, quickly squashed her and gained a measure of revenge by defeating Txur’itan with the FEAST OF SOULS. Shadow took advantage of a weary Harrow, then gained a quick victory over Lady Sunbyrd to lock down the victory.
Group 4: The random ordering saw Tiki Boom and Lazer Man fight first, with Mickey next and Vain last in the order. Tiki Boom quickly squashed Lazer Man (BOOM-SHAKA-LAKA), but then Mickey defeated him in short-order (A TWIST OF YARN). Mickey went on to have great bouts with Vain and Lazer Man, getting wins over both competitors and eliminating Lazer Man. Tiki Boom took advantage of a weary Mickey, weathering her initial offensive flurry and ending the match with a Boom-Shaka-Laka. He went on to eliminate Vain, setting up the deciding battle with Mickey. After a good contest where both fighters showed great prowess, Mickey was victorious (A TWIST OF YARN).
General Shuck, DesertMarine, and FireStopper congratulated an exhausted Mickey in the back. “The CCRC is showing fighters and fans alike we are an awesome force! Your victory,” nodding to a smiling Mickey, “DesertMarine’s performance earlier, and FireStopper’s inevitable victory will see all of us in the finals. And when the CCRC secures this championship, we will ensure that this syndicate remains honorable and reputable!” The rest of the CCRC nodded in approval.
