Press Conference
A few days after the New Star Initiative Tour, a press conference was called to address the ever-growing issue with the backlog of the IFC roster. Present at this event are the Konishioner himself, alongside a man not known to the world outside the ISGP board. The Konishioner steps up to the podium.
Konishioner: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this press event. I am the Konishioner of the IFC, and before we officially start, I want to thank everyone for making our tours a success. The Duo Destiny tour was a resounding success, and people have taken well to the 8 newcomers throughout the New Star Initiative. Now, today's press event has new stars in mind, as we still have a massive backlog of new competitors still waiting for their chance to make it here in the IFC. Of course, we want to show them off, but we do not want to overbloat our roster by sending them all here at once. Fortunately, we created a solution, and to introduce this concept is fellow ISGP board member, and the president of talent relations, Mr. Bret Fletcher.
Bret Fletcher steps up to the podium as the Konishioner steps down.
Bret: Thank you very much, Mr. Konishioner. As you've all heard, my name is Bret Fletcher. I am the head of talent relations here in the IFC. What that means is that I, along with the Agents of Time, study fighters throughout all of time, and help with their recruitment process. I often find myself reading fight results on Holonet for hours on end, finding the perfect competitors from all times and spaces, or just searching for young up-and-comers willing to prove themselves. During the period where the Elite 8 took over, we gathered a backlog of fighters that we could not debut because of the ban imposed by the challenge, and our backlog was so big, we could create a second league with them...which is what we're doing. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you...

IFC BRAWL-STARS
Bret: This will be a weekly IFC show that will showcase entirely new competitors in four different divisions. Those divisions will be as follows:
1. Grand Star: This division is reflective of the ISGP Intergalactic Grand Championship. All matches for this title will be Best of 3.
2. Battle Star: This division is reflective of the KOMBAT Openfight Championship. All matches for this title will be held under KOMBAT Openfight rules.
3. Junior Star: This is the show's lone original concept. Competitors that weigh 235 pounds or under compete for this championship.
4. Gemini Star: This division is reflective of the ISGP Duos Championship. All matches for this title will be held under Duos rules.
Bret: With the four divisions established, all shows will have 8 matches: Four are #1 contender's matches for each title, and four will be for the titles themselves, and all respective matches will be held under each title's ruleset. Each division will be held under a ranking system, which works like so:
*Losing the #1 contender's match and a title match as a challenger will send you to the back of the rankings.
*Losing the championship will give the former champion only 1 rematch. Whoever loses gets sent to the back of the rankings.
Bret: Now you may be wondering "How does a competitor move up to the IFC in this system?" It's very simple. We're taking a concept once introduced by Powermonger and his former Lethal Lottery Championship. When a champion defends their title 3 times in a row, they will be sent to the next show on the current IFC tour, and face a member of the IFC roster to a match. If they win, they will join the roster, but drop the championship. If they lose, not only will they not be part of the IFC roster, and not only will they still have to vacate the championship, but they must also go to the back of the rankings to try again later. In both cases, the previous #1 contender will face the #2 ranked competitor for the championship, with the next two in line getting the #1 contender's match. Finally, for the sake of simplicity, the rankings will only feature 10 spots for each division, meaning at any given time, there are 40 spots in total, with around 50 people taking them up. Should a Brawl-Star succeed with their Promotion Match, a new competitor will be placed in a #1 contender's match with the 3rd ranked competitor. With all that said, here are the current crop of competitors for each division:
