Well, with the first four blocs of the IFC'S Intergalactic Super Grand Prix now over and the Gold Bloc set I guess it's time to talk about the four fighters that made it into the final four and which one I think will be taking home the IFC Grand championship.
First off we have the winner of the Red Bloc, Rabbid. Honestly, after watching him manhandle El Pikador and Squatch first hand and then seeing how he pretty much did the same to the rest of the Red Bloc I gotta say, I'm impressed. We no nothing else about him, his background, his motivations, or why he hangs out with this weirdo Tick Tock, but it doesn't really matter as he is a silent monster who crushes his opponents. I'm not even sure he WANTS to win this tournament, but given his strength and nigh unstoppable nature he just might.
Next is the winner of the Blue Bloc, and admittedly (especially by himself) the most decorated fighter in this tournament, Vincitor. What more can be said about the multi Platinum medal winning, multi championship winning, hardest working fighter in this sport? Vincitor is looking like the odds on favorite to win the tournament, and I honestly can't argue.
The winner of the Yellow Bloc was The Messenger. I've said it before, I know he garnered some fame in that other sport, but I don't cover that (though I have been told by the guy that DOES cover it for TBE that he went through a lot over there). He did impress me though, I will admit. He also says he's trying to stop...something. Not sure what, but something. I don't really give him much of a chance against the rest of the Gold Bloc though.
And last, from just a few days ago, we have the Orange Bloc winner Tiki Boom. A relative newcomer to the pro fighting scene he nonetheless has some impressive wins in other leagues, including a matchup against Mid Atlantis Heritage champion Ricky Stallion (though that was a loss). He may be the least experienced fighter in this bloc, but he still has a pretty good chance given his showing against Bobcat Jack.
There you have it, a breakdown of the four finalists in the Intergalactic Super Grand Prix. Who do I think will be the ultimate victor in this tournament? My money is on Vincitor, but I've been proven wrong in the past. And honestly, after the tragic events of the opening press conference I'm just glad TRJPowerworks went ahead with the tournament in the first place. It's what Tim Rocket would have wanted, rest him.
