A major announcement by none other than Tick Tock has shook up the combat-based sports world here on Earth C-127. Tik Tok has announced the formation of the Supreme Championship Fight League, which he hopes will one day will be regarded as the premier fight league in the world. It was announced the organization would run in a league format, with four separate leagues operating on a rotating basis. The leagues are the Openweight League, the Tag Team League, the Women's League and the Junior's League, and will be run in that order. The Openweight League champion will be recognized as the SCFL champion. Complete rules for the leagues were not announced except that a season consists of all 4 leagues being completed and a championship show to be run at the end the season. Leagues will most likely be 8 man/team affairs.
The SCFL will kick off season 1 with the Openweight League to crown the SCFL champion and will differ from future Openweight League seasons in that it will consist of 10 men battling it out in 2 divisions for the title. The opening roster will consist of (I will list the sets the cards are from in [] next to the fighter's name when they have more than 1 GFP card):
Division 1 Bodhin Cepheus Punk Kash Kid Rumble The Connoisseur
Division 2 Matt R. Horn Midas Mr. Grappling Tick Tock [Origins] Vindicator
See you at the fights!

Openweight League S1C5Bodhin defeated Cepheus Phunk by Eagle Claw Kid Rumble defeated Kash by Lightning Bolt Slam Vindicator defeated Matt R. Horn by Ground Zero Tick Tock defeated Midas by The Lock & Key Current Standings Division 1
Kid Rumble 3-1 Cepheus Phunk 2-2 Kash 2-2 Bodhin 2-2 The Connoisseur 1-3 Division 2
Vindicator 4-0 Mr. Grappling 3-1 Tick Tock 2-2 Midas 1-3 Matt R. Horn 0-4 Kid Rumble and Vindicator will face off on the next card to crown the first ever SCFL champion. Several announcements were made by the SCFL after the conclusion of this card: - The competitors that did not make the finals will be fighting on the next card in eliminator matches against new fighters trying to enter the Openweight League. Those that lose will be barred from the Openeweight League for one season and will have an opportunity, if they so desire, to fight their way back into the league at next season's eliminator card.
- Kash and Midas have withdrawn from the Openweight League and will focus on the upcoming Tag Team League instead.
- Whoever loses the Kid Rumble vs. Vindicator match will be automatically entered into next season's Openweight League. With Kash and Midas departing the league, this means there will be six eliminator matches, and with the above loser of the match being automatically entered next season, only seven spots will be secured. Tick Tock has announced that the winner of the Junior's League will be automatically granted the eighth and final spot in the Openweight League. Going forward, if that person has been eliminated or is already in the Openweight League, there will be an at large eliminator match between competitors waiting to enter the league for the final spot.

This is a really neat idea. I'm glad that you came to the board and shared this. Is Vindicator dominating people? I feel sorry for Kid Rumble, but maybe he can pull of the upset of the century!

Night of Eliminations 1 S1C6
Tick Tock defeated Thunder Gold (International Incident 2) by The Lock & Key Cepheus Phunk defeated Cobra Pilsner by DQ when Pilsner struck with the Groin Strike right in front of the referee Bodhin defeated Grotesque by DQ when Grotesque hit Bodhin with a Low Blow Rey Del Torneo defeated The Connoisseur by Bracket Buster Tiki Boom (Fire Island) defeated Matt R. Horn by Volcano Buster Kenny Manitoba defeated Mr. Grappling by Amazing Grace Kid Rumble defeated Vindicator by Lightning Bolt Slam. Kid Rumble wins the SCFL Championship!
A couple of big upsets in the first ever Night of Eliminations. Thunder Gold was heavily favored to defeat Tick Tock. In fact, he was so heavily favored, that detractors of combat-based sports immediately pointed to this match as proof that this is scripted entertainment and not a real sports contest. There has also been speculation that if the match was fixed, Thunder Gold must have been paid a ton of cash to lose to Tick Tock.
Kid Rumble winning the title was also a huge upset, with some calling the fight the upset of the century. Vindicator should have easily won, but the never-say-die attitude of Kid Rumble pushed him through to victory.
With the first Night of Eliminations complete, the Openweight League roster looks like this:
Champion: Kid Rumble
Openweight League Roster for Season 2
Tick Tock (Origins) Cepheus Phunk Bodhin Rey Del Torneo Tiki Boom (Fire Island) Kenny Manitoba Vindicator Spot Reserved for Junior League Champion

The SCFL has released the roster for the initial Tag Team League. The teams competing for the league title are:
Weapons of Mass Destruction (Maxx Damage and Blast Blasterson) Annihilators (Devega and Kaine) Cosmic Blondes (Dream Machine and Casanova) The R & R Connection (Tim Rocket, Sr. and Harold Ross) Snyder-Orville Network (Doc Snyder and Chester Orville) Undercover Brothers (Kash and Midas) avANT guard (phANTom and blatANT) Imperial Fighters (Ulysses and Ulrich)
Unlike the initial Openweight League, it was announced that this league will operate under a standard round robin league format. The winner will be crowned champion, with the tie-breaker process being head-to-head match ups. At the end of the season, the runner-up team will be automatically entered in the subsequent season. The other six teams will be fighting in eliminator matches against teams looking to enter the league, with one match being two at-large teams looking to take the final spot in the league.
