A fun show from the NCC with a top win by The Messenger and it's good he won the gold for a 2nd time, too bad Cross & Freak lost. Hold on, hold on it is L.A.Rizin versus Crimson Cross, you know who I want to win and your having them face off right out of the gate in Rizins debut... Naturally my friend, may the best man win

Card #22 - Mystic Island Arena
Free Agent Duos Showcase: Mega Power & Soda City Slugger defeated Muck & Grim (Slugger over Muck by KO - Say Hey!) Rocky defeated Death Star (KO - Windmill Punch) Vincitor defeated Bobcat Jack (submission - Kinniku Special) Duos Match: Yoko-Ohno & Krusher Khan defeated Ken Po & Mr. Ion (Yoko-Ohno over Ken Po by KO - Bonzai Splash) Crimson Cross defeated L.A. Rizin (KO - Bombjack) Ricky Stallion defeated Party Pirate (submission - Queen City Lock) Tiki Boom defeated Dragon Blood (KO - Boom Shaka-Laka) Thunder Gold defeated Rabbid (KO - Thunderstruck)
Promoter Notes: The GBF had two big signings debut at the Mystic Island Arena with startlingly different results. The highly anticipated debut of Thunder Gold saw him go toe-to-toe with the massive Rabbid in a thrilling main event. Thunder Gold won it with his Thunderstruck finisher which rocked the sold out MIA. The debut of rock n' wrestling star L.A. Rizin was the complete opposite, however. Rizin took on the tough Crimson Cross and lost in very quick fashion after two consecutive deliveries of the Bombjack. It was a hugely disappointing loss for Rizin who came in with a lot of fanfare. Crimson, on the other hand, secured his first singles win in GBF competition and hopefully he can build on that momentum.
The match of the night went to Tiki Boom and Dragon Blood who had an incredible battle involving multiple uses of their finishers. Dragon Blood was the favorite going in but Tiki Boom put him away in the end chalking up a huge win. The arrogant but talented Ricky Stallion, who is facing Dragon Blood in the main event at the Kramden Memorial Gardens (Card #23), scored a dominant win over Party Pirate. Stallion was pleased after learning of the tough match Dragon Blood had and vowed to put him away when they face off on the next show.
The Red Super Powers (Yoko-Ohno & Krusher Khan) and the Power Sluggers (Mega Power & Soda City Slugger) scored huge wins over Ken Po & Mr. Ion and the Swamp Beasts (Muck & Grim), respectively. GBF officials are scouting Duos combinations for the upcoming title tournament and it would not be surprising to see all four of those teams invited to compete.

A battle of giants and Thunder Gold walks away with the victory over Rabbid, then Crimson Cross captures that fist singles win over L.A.Rizin is good to see even though it comes at the expense of your guy Raid, fun action all around...

Thanks for the comments Dustin and Crimson. Oh it came at his expense all right, L.A. Rizin never got to roll on offense! CC blitzed him and hit the two straight Bombjacks to win it. I have to say it was cool to see CC get his first singles win in the GBF, hopefully the first of many to come. As for Rizin he likely won't see action again until after the Duos tournament but I'm hoping he can bounce back from his tough debut loss.

Card #23 - Kramden Memorial Gardens
Free Agent Showcase: El Halcon defeated The Examiner (KO - El Halcon Punch) Party Pirate defeated Rocky (submission - Rear Naked Choke) Mr. Ion defeated Rabbid (KO - Gamma Slam) Vincitor defeated Ken Po (TKO - Double Leg Drive) Duos Match: Yoko-Ohno & Krusher Khan defeated Bobcat Jack & Manny Fernandez (Yoko-Ohno over Bobcat Jack by KO - Bonzai Splash) Dragon Blood defeated Ricky Stallion (submission - Dragon Cross)
Promoter Notes: The debut event at the Kramden Memorial Gardens proved to be very memorable. The show stealing match was the semi-final Duos bout with the Super Red Powers (Yoko-Ohno & Krusher Khan) beating Bobcat Jack & "Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez. This match was back and forth featuring tons of near finishes and some timely exchanges on both sides. Yoko-Ohno took it home with the Bonzai Splash on Jack. Fernandez was upset over the loss which puts him and Jack in a bad spot as far as qualifying for the upcoming Duos championship tournament. As for the main event, Ricky Stallion went in over confident against Dragon Blood and paid for it. Dragon Blood survived the Queen City Lock and battled back hard to put Stallion away with the Dragon Cross. This may have been the start of a memorable rivalry in the GBF. The upset of the night went to Mr. Ion who defeated Rabbid. It was undoubtedly the biggest win for Ion to date in the GBF and left Rabbid pretty angry as he was hoping to rebound from his previous loss to Thunder Gold.
Coming up next will be the official debut show for Glitter at the Glitter Eagles Club with the following scheduled lineup: Card #24 - Glitter Eagles Club
Duos Match: Chika Boom & Gamesmaster vs. I. Scream Queen & Axetion Peaches vs. Bast Snofight vs. Fury Ellepatra vs. Razortooth Rainbow Stryke vs. Ratchet Duos Match: Thunderkitty & Kay Fabe vs. Amanda & Sidistic Nukeleah vs. Havoc Killbourne GBF Glitter Championship: Dorna Wayfarer© vs. Chloe Cosmos

I liked that El Halcòn defeated The Examiner, plus the Super Red Powers winning is huge and I really like that pairing & team name. I'm pulling for Snofight over Fury and I'm picking Dorna Wayfarer to keep the gold...

Card #24 - Glitter Eagles Club
Duos Match: I. Scream Queen & Axetion defeated Chika Boom & Gamesmaster (I. Scream Queen over Chika Boom by KO - Sonic Cry - Fast Forward) Bast defeated Peaches (submission - Sky High Claw) Snofight defeated Fury (KO - Snofight Fists) Razortooth defeated Ellepatra (KO - Clawed STO) Rainbow Stryke defeated Ratchet (KO - Ultra Violet) Duos Match: Thunderkitty & Kay Fabe defeated Amanda & Sidistic (Thunderkitty over Amanda by submission - Boston Crab) Havoc Killbourne defeated Nukeleah (TKO - Canker Sore) GBF Glitter Championship: Dorna Wayfarer© defeated Chloe Cosmos (KO - Royal Pedigree) to retain the title
Promoter Notes: The first Glitter event at the Glitter Eagles Club was headlined by a rematch from the championship tournament final with Dorna Wayfarer defending the GBF Glitter Championship against Chloe Cosmos. Wayfarer proved that her tournament win was no fluke as she had a successful version one title defense beating Cosmos in quick fashion. Cosmos started out aggressively but a quick counter by Wayfarer into the Royal Pedigree resulted in a KO win. Already other top challengers are lining up for title shots as both Havoc Killbourne and Bast, who were impressive in their victories, have requested shots at Wayfarer. Match of the night went to Snofight vs. Fury who had an amazing back and forth battle featuring both women absorbing the finisher of the other. The Glitter Duos Division got off to a nice start with Curses & Screams (I. Scream Queen & Axetion) picking up a Fast Forward win over the Varsity Club (Chika Boom & Gamesmaster). Later on it was the Old School Pioneers (Thunderkitty & Kay Fabe) posting a solid win over Vicious & Relentless (Amanda & Sidistic) with Amanda showing great resilience before being defeated. Overall it was a solid night of Glitter action.
Next up for the GBF is the highly anticipated GBF Duos Championship Tournament which takes place at Gotham Square Garden (Card #25) with the following first round matches: Rock n' Roll Express vs. Connor & Alexander Mega Power & Soda City Slugger vs. The Colony WMD vs. Ken Po & Mr. Ion Yoko-Ohno & Krusher Khan vs. Crimson Cross & Freakenstein Party Pirate & Tiki Boom vs. Muck & Grim Dragon Blood & Rocky vs. Fahrenheit & Celsius Rocket Riot Express vs. War Hawk & Vincitor Rabbid & Death Star vs. Bobcat Jack & Manny Fernandez

I like that pairing of I.Scream Queen and Axetion, plus them winning is good stuff. Snofight getting a win I like, but Ellepatra losing was a letdown. Now, Dorna Wayfarer winning and keeping her title helps legitimize her reign, I'm pulling for a good reign for her...

Card #25 - Gotham Square Garden - GBF Duos Championship Tournament First Round: Rock n' Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) defeated Second Realm Saints (Connor & Alexander) (Robert Gibson over Connor by KO - Double Dropkick) Power Sluggers (Mega Power & Soda City Slugger) defeated The Colony (Fire Ant & Soldier Ant) (Mega Power over Fire Ant by KO - Atomic Elbow) WMD (Maxx Damage & Blast Blasterson) defeated Ken Po & Mr. Ion (Maxx Damage over Mr. Ion by KO - Maxx Impact) Crimson Cross & Freakenstein defeated Super Red Powers (Yoko-Ohno & Krusher Khan) (Crimson Cross over Yoko-Ohno by KO - Earth Shaker Knee) Party Pirate & Tiki Boom defeated Swamp Beasts (Muck & Grim) (Party Pirate over Grim by KO - Party Punch) Fire & Ice (Fahrenheit & Celsius) defeated Dragon Blood & Rocky (Farenheit over Rock by KO - Flash Kick) Rocket Riot Express (Ricky Riot & Robby Rocket) defeated War Hawk & Vincitor (Ricky Riot over War Hawk by KO - World Rocker) Dark Forces (Rabbid & Death Star) defeated Bobcat Jack & Manny Fernandez (Rabbid over Bobcat Jack by TKO - Spine Smasher) Second Round: Rock n' Roll Express defeated Mega Power & Soda City Slugger (Ricky Morton over Mega Power by KO - Double Dropkick) WMD defeated Crimson Cross & Freakenstein (Blast Blasterson over Freakenstein by KO - Blast Off) Party Pirate & Tiki Boom defeated Fahrenheit & Celsius (Party Pirate over Fahrenheit by KO - Party Punch) Rabbid & Death Star defeated Rocket Riot Express (Rabbid over Ricky Riot by TKO - Spine Smasher) Semi-Final Round: WMD defeated Rock n' Roll Express (Blast Blasterson over Ricky Morton by KO - Blast Off) Party Pirate & Tiki Boom defeated Rabbid & Death Star (Tiki Boom over Rabbid by KO - Boom Shaka-Laka) Final Round: WMD defeated Party Pirate & Tiki Boom (Maxx Damage over Tiki Boom by KO - Maxx Impact) to win the titles
Promoter Notes: The one night tournament to determine the inaugural GBF Duos Champions featured sixteen teams and plenty of action before WMD (Maxx Damage & Blast Blasterson) emerged with the gold. They powered their way through with wins over Ken Po & Mr. Ion, Crimson Cross & Freakenstein and the Rock n' Roll Express to get to the finals. Standing opposite them in the finals was the popular pairing of Party Pirate & Tiki Boom who advanced with wins over the Swamp Beasts, Fire & Ice and Dark Forces. The win by Pirate and Tiki over Rabbid & Death Star, the top seeded team, in the semi-final round was considered a big upset. The crowd at Gotham Square Garden was in full support of Pirate and Tiki but they were in a tough spot going up against the power of WMD. The final round match was a good bout but WMD muscled their way to victory when Damage nailed Tiki with the devastating Maxx Impact to score the KO. WMD were joined by their third member, Sledge Hammerstein, in a post-match victory celebration.
GBF officials afterward announced that all three members of WMD along with Freakenstein have been signed to full-time contracts. Sledge Hammerstein, in fact, has a huge debut match facing Thunder Gold at Castlevania Theatre (Card #26) on a card that will be headlined by The Messenger defending the GBF Universal Heavyweight Championship against the undefeated Buck Tomkins.

I thought maybe Crimson Cross and Freakenstein would've went all the way, but WMD take it all. Fun tournament, it'll be fun to see how long WMD keep the gold...

I thought maybe Crimson Cross and Freakenstein would've went all the way, but WMD take it all. Fun tournament, it'll be fun to see how long WMD keep the gold... WMD proved to be a real force, Crimson, including beating the Rock n' Roll Express. Crimson Cross & Freakenstein had a huge opening round win over the Super Red Powers but unfortunately ran into WMD in round two. I will tell you that they didn't go down easily as WMD had to work for that win. Freakenstein is now officially signed to the GBF so he and CC could have some more duos bouts in the future. I am trying to come up with a team name for them if you think of anything let me know.

Card #26 - Castlevania Theatre
Glitter Showcase: Burn defeated Kimmy (TKO - Flamethrower) Free Agent Showcase: Space Monkey defeated The Examiner (KO - Up Kick) War Hawk defeated L.A. Rizin (KO - War Dance) Duos Match: Yoko-Ohno & Krusher Khan defeated Bobcat Jack & Manny Fernandez (Yoko-Ohno over Bobcat Jack by KO - Bonzai Splash) Saint Nick defeated Mr. Ion (submission - Sentinel Sleeper) Ricky Stallion defeated Ricky Morton (submission - Queen City Lock) Sledge Hammerstein defeated Thunder Gold (KO - Hammerin' Time) GBF Universal Heavyweight Championship: The Messenger© defeated Buck Tomkins (KO - Last Rites) to retain the title
Promoter Notes: It was a wild night of action at the Castlevania Theatre headlined by The Messenger defending the GBF Universal Heavyweight Championship against the undefeated Buck Tomkins. It almost ended early with Tomkins getting a Fast Forward but The Messenger survived it. From there it was a pretty intense battle with both men spent by the end. The Messenger would come through with a successful version one title defense as he scored a KO on Tomkins with the Last Rites. The two-time GBF Universal Heavyweight champion credited Tomkins with putting up a strong challenge.
With his WMD partners Maxx Damage & Blast Blasterson recently winning the GBF Duos Championship, Sledge Hammerstein was looking for some success of his own as he made his debut against the highly touted Thunder Gold. The big bombs were dropped early and often by Hammerstein and it was Hammerin' Time that led to a big upset win over Gold. Hammerstein afterward said the win was "easy" which will certainly anger Gold. Another highly touted star, Ricky Stallion, picked up a big win over Ricky Morton, one-half of the Rock n' Roll Express, in a bout that many said brought back great memories. It seems that Stallion reminds everyone of a legendary wrestling champion.
Three matches really stole the show - Saint Nick vs. Mr. Ion, Bobcat Jack & Manny Fernandez vs. Red Super Powers and War Hawk vs. L.A. Rizin. All three matches featured Deck of Heck involvement and a ton of near finishes. Saint Nick was very fortunate to win over Ion as was War Hawk over Rizin. Either match could have had a very different result. As for the Duos match, which was really intense, Jack and Fernandez fell to a very disappointing 0-5 as a team. Fernandez was none too happy with the outcome and has challenged Jack to a match on the next event at Rock N' Roll High School (Card #27), though both insist that their team is still intact. Fernandez said that he needs some time to think about his own career but wants to take on Jack out of frustration over their lack of success as a team. Jack agreed with that and said that whatever happens he hopes that he and the "Raging Bull" can engage in a strong battle of respect and remain Duos partners in the future.

I love the bring back memories on Ricky Stallion versus Ricky Morton showdown, plus The Messenger keeping the strap is a good thing. I haven't used The Examiner in my fed yet, but that is a huge win for Space Monkey over him and I'm sure The Examiner is not all too happy about losing to the Space Monkey...
