Ravi keeps it, but you know others will be gunning for him.

Took me a little bit to view Ravi as a real World Champion-type, as his character has always seemed more style than substance to me. But, this new card is definitely a World Champ's card, and I think he's going to be tough to dislodge.

Week 6
*Lionheart d. Stu Masters, dropkick (**3/4). Big win for Lionheart over top contender Masters, although he...ahem...cut a few corners to get there! But, a win's a win, and Lionheart showed up strong!
GFP Heritage Championship: Rip Owens DQ Malice (2nd defense) (**1/4). This one never truly got going, but good heat between the two, with Owens getting the DQ, but not the belt!
MAIN EVENT: Honest Abe DQ Ravi Shing (2nd defense) (*3/4). Well, it appears our champion really wanted no part of Honest Abe this evening, as he made sure to get disqualified very early in this bout. Boo! Boo! Ravi keeps the belt, but didn't exactly distinguish himself, and hasn't exactly endeared himself to Honest Abe either!
Next Card: GFP heads to Nashville, TN for a scheduled Main Event match for the GFP World Championship between champion Ravi Shing and Grande Reyes! Also on the bout will be Mercedes Eighties defending her Womens Championship against Thorn. Don'tcha Dare Miss It!

You've gotta love it sometimes when the DQ ends a title match and on that card, we got two...

I love it. He just recently tried to upend Shane Stud for my title, but got caught using that low blow.

I love it. He just recently tried to upend Shane Stud for my title, but got caught using that low blow. One of the things I've always enjoyed about go.fight.pow is that the game lends itself to great freedom in visualizing matches. Yes, we have the movesets for each wrestler, to be sure. But, the movesets also serve to give the game player the overall feel of each wrestler, so within those movesets, or within each match, there is freedom to visualize other moves...if they make sense for that wrestler, and if they make sense within the context of the match. For example, I've had rulebreakers use low blows that weren't on their playing cards as actual moves because the moveset for that wrestler painted the picture of who that wrestler was. So, for Stu Masters (shameless plug! ), I'd most likely not use a low blow (never say never!) due to how the "artist" (in this case E) painted the picture for ol' Stu, i.e. that he's a scientific wrestler for the most part, and a babyface. It's a cool feature of the game, one I've always enjoyed. You get a sense of who and what each wrestler is, and from there, you are free to interpret their matches as you see fit.

Week 7*Crimson Mask d. Warhawk, Tomkins Driver (**1/2). Fun match, and a bit of an upset over one of the great GFP champions! GFP Womens Championship: Mercedes Eighties (1st defense) d. Thorn, Glow Grip (***1/4). Good bout, which sees our womens champion prevail and keep the title...hard fought victory this night though! MAIN EVENT: Ravi Shing (3rd defense) d. Grande Reyes, Simply Ravishing (**1/4). Well, Ravi Shing is proving to be no slouch as World Champion GFP fans, as he just took down one of the best in GFP without too much trouble. And this night his antics were kept to a minimum, as he mostly wrestled a clean bout...mostly. Looks like our champion is indeed legit, albeit not too popular with the GFP faithful (he is soooooooooo arrogant!)! Next Card: The GFP heads home to Memphis, TN for a bout headlined by Ravi Shing defending his GFP World Title against Bahamas Bull in a rematch from Week 5. Can Bull prevail in this 3rd match of the triology?? Stay tuned!

Just curious on your stops. Do you have a certain number or a circuit you follow?

Just curious on your stops. Do you have a certain number or a circuit you follow? I'm playing a modified Memphis territory Eric, with my fed HQ in Memphis itself. So, I'm trying to hit all the historical stops of that particular territory, plus am adding in some of my own. But, I'm not always regular with it, i.e., I don't always hit Memphis on the 4th week of each month for example. I shake it up a bit.

Week 8
*Mr. Excellent d. Punk AD, Perplexed (**). Punk AD went down pretty easily tonight, and still hasn't managed to gain much traction in GFP, at least not yet. As with all things GFP, there's always time to reverse that trend..
MAIN EVENT: Ravi Shing (4th defense) d. Bahamas Bull, Smooth Operator (**1/2). Well, Ravi maintains ownership of the GFP World Heavyweight Championship, and wins the 3rd bout of this triology with relative ease (although he certainly cut some corners in this match, much to the Memphis faithful's displeasure!). Ravi's looking pretty comfortable as a World Champion right now GFP fans...will someone be able to stop him?
Next Card: Honest Abe is next in line for a GFP World Title shot, and he will await the champion in Louisville, KY, next week for his chance. Can Abe gain revenge for the DQ he suffered in Week 6? Stay tuned!

Ravi should just hit Abe with a low blow and get DQed again. That’ll show him! Lol

Week 9
GFP Tag Team Championship: The Patriots (my name for the revolutionary war-era team!...3rd title defense) d. Big South & Steve Stampede, Last Ride (**). Our champs were challenged early, but seized control of the bout, and took it home in grand style!
MAIN EVENT: Ravi Shing (5th title defense) d. Honest Abe, Simply Ravishing (**1/4). Abe just couldn't mount much offense, and in truth, our champion looked like a champion this evening GFP fans, just manhandling Abe without much effort. Poor Abe, he still cannot avenge his DQ result from Week 6. He hopes to eventually though...
Next Card: Well, our champion next heads to Evansville, IN for a scheduled defense against the great Thunder Gold. Our champ is on quite a run, and as of late, has certainly behaved more like a World Champ, showing his worth. Mr. Gold is going to be a tall task though...don'tcha dare miss it!
