WEEK 10
*Mr. Tempest & Zenith b. The Hot Shots, Maple Leaf (*3/4). Zenith and Tempest make pretty quick work of the 'Shots tonight, surprising some, as the Hot Shots have been a solid team.
MAIN EVENT: And we have a nnnnnnneeeeeeewwwww GFP World Heavyweight Champion ladies and gentlemen!!! Thunder Gold b. Ravi Shing, No Holds Barred, to become the new GFP World Heavyweight Champion in a solid match, ending the egotistical Shing's surprisingly good reign (***1/2). Down goes Shing, to Thunder Gold, a man who is no stranger to the World Title, and a man who has only improved his game. Shing tried to cheat his way to holding on to the belt, but Gold would have none of it this evening, and when the 3-count was done, the fans blew off the roof with their reaction!
Next Card: There's a new sheriff in town, one Mr. Thunder Gold, and he looks to restore honor to the GFP World Heavyweight Championship! Up first for Gold will be Lionheart, who is a definite threat to take Gold's newly won belt! Also featured next week will be Malice defending his Heritage Championship against Mr. Excellent, and Mercedes Eighties defends the Women's Championship against Marilyn Monsoon! That'll be coming to you live from Nashville, TN next week fans!

You know, someday, I truly hope to start posting results again! I always intend to, but just can't seem to make it happen. But, the GFP rolls proudly on (thought I'd give a little mini-recap), and I'm proud to report that I'm in the midst of one heck of a World Title reign. On last night's card, Week 26 of Season 6, Thunder Gold defended his World Title successfully for the 16th time, this time against Varsity. Previously, Mr. Gold had been in a feud with Tiki Boom, and honestly, looking back over his defenses, there have been no slouches in this reign. Who is going to knock this guy off??? He's got one heck of a card (and honestly, he should), but eventually, someone will dethrone the champ...but I am starting to wonder if that won't be for a long time to come! This is the record for GFP World Title reigns (in terms of title defenses), and with every win, Gold just keeps breaking his own record. Very impressive run by the champ!

GFP Update:
In a bit of a stunner....only because he had looked like an unstoppable juggernaut!...Thunder Gold's World Championship reign came to an end last night, with JT Royal doing the honors with the "Fists of Fury"! Gold's reign ends at 19 title defenses, pretty darn impressive, and a record in GFP! Gold defeated all comers, both heroes and rulebreakers alike! Prior to Royal, Gold had defeated Grande Reyes and Demtor. Somewhat surprisingly, Demtor almost took Gold down himself (his card is not on the level of Gold's, so was a bit of a surprise...but Demtor's won more often than not in my fed!).
That....was a title reign fans! There will be a rematch eventually (some have wondered if Royal had a foreign object balled up in those fists of his!), but for now, the former champion is going to take a well deserved rest, as carrying the crown for that long was very demanding.
Other feuds of note:
*DragonBlood, War Hawk, and Stu Masters vs. the Hordesmen of Stallion, Olympia, and Outlaw (had a great 6-man match the other night, just rocked!). *Jack Grappler vs. Vain (although Grappler just won what could be the blow off!) *Big Daddy T vs. Kevin Storm (current Heritage Champ). Big showdown for the title coming up soon!
The action's heating up in the late summer in GFP!

19 defenses is a solid run. Lets see if Royal can hang onto the strap.

Gold still proving to be the legend that he thinks he is, he now has the record to beat. I really enjoy your format and look forward to what is next.

GFP Update:
Hello GFP fans! Well, JT Royal was on his way to a decent little title reign, when...Cosmos King happened! In a match that resembled the best of the old Memphis wrestling territory, the Cosmos King was able to upend the former champ, brawling from pillar to post, and took possession of the GFP World Heavyweight Title!
And so far, the Cosmos King looks like he may stick around a while, with solid defenses against the likes of Ken Po and Jack Grappler (Grappler being the most recent one, as he won a top contender's match!). Looming on the horizon is a showdown with DragonBlood, which given the abilities of both men, could result in a great bout!
Other feuds of note:
*The feud between DragonBlood, War Hawk, and Stu Masters vs. the Hordesmen of Stallion, Olympia, and Outlaw rages on. Lots of possibilities between these warring factions!
*ThunderGold is itching for a rematch with JT Royal, who abruptly ended Gold's title reign! That is also looming on the horizon!
Thanks for everyone's fine patronage, the action continues to be hot in GFP!

As much as Thunder Gold might want JT Royal....I bet he would like to get his hands on Cosmos King, and the gold, as well.

stubucco I'm wondering if we'll see a return to your GFP fed? It is a fun one... I'm contemplating it CC! I'm thinking of running individual career projects like I'm doing in the FG world, and posting them here, as a) I did that before in the go.fight.pow world, and really enjoyed it, and b) its starting to become my preferred method of playing! So...yes, GFP may be making a return soon sir! Thanks for checking in!

Grande Reyes: GFP World Title Career Mode: (1 GFP World Title Reign, 5 career defenses)
Grande Reyes, in relatively short order, has become a fave. So, here are the latest results in his career replay mode, 2 of which have spawned feuds for him down the road!
*Stalingrad b. Grande Reyes, Ursine Slam (**1/4). Reyes was simple overpowered in this one, with the behemoth Stalingrad exerting his prodigious strength! Still, it looked like Reyes had his foot under the ropes, and somehow the referee missed it. Hmmmmm....definitely going to be a rematch!
*Grande Reyes b. Vain, Conch Clutch (**1/2). Good bout, with our champion in this replay locking in the Clutch to finish off the evil Vain! The fans loved it!
*Meteor Man b. Grande Reyes, Meteor Storm (**1/2). Reyes was in trouble in this one early on, and the Meteor Man just didn't relent. Fans were irate at seeing their favorite (Reyes) roughed up a bit in this one, and there's no doubt these two will lock horns again!
