I'm going to give this a try and I'm going to take a UFC path with this.
Right now I have the first set, so what I'm going to do is run 8 man tournaments for the shows. When I get the expansion sets I will slowly move away from the tournaments and probably have an IFC Champion for a few game years before settling into actual weight divisions. I'm planning to use the weight classes that have been described on this board.
For the tournaments, I'm just listing everyone on random.org and matching up the top 8 guys for the tournament. 9-15 will be the priority list for alternates. Every time someone wins a tournament match I'm going to roll two dice. If it's a roll of doubles, they're too injured to continue with the tournament and an alternate will step up to the plate.

IFC 1 January 1, 2125:
Round 1:
Krusher Khan (1-0) KOs Ken Po (0-1) with the Soviet Sickle Khan kept Po at bay early on with his Shadow Boxing. They struggled during the middle of the match as Khan kept going for a Russian Leg Sweep while Po seemed to be trying to get a quick KO with a hurricane kick. Po had Khan in trouble with the Shoryuken but Khan caught him out of nowhere with the Soviet Sickle and Bull Hammer stopped the fight. Krusher Khan progresses to the semi-finals.
Hype Macleod stops Krusher Khan as he exits the octagon.
Macleod: I'm here with Krusher Khan who just won the first match in IFC history. That was a very impressive debut. Khan: I am the best fighter in the universe. Macleod: Up next is a really great match, Honest Abe vs. Bobcat Jack and the winner will be facing you in the semi-finals. Khan: Who wins does not matter. I will crush either man in the octagon. Now, get out of my way, I must prepare for my next fight. Macleod: A very confident man. And I can't blame him after the performance he just showed. Let's head to the next fight...
Bobcat Jack (1-0) KOs Honest Abe (0-1) with the Superman Punch This was a fast and furious brawl. Abe was dishing out some real damage with his bare knuckle fighting style with Jack tried to wear him down with some punches to the solar plexus. Jack caught Abe with a gator roll and then unleashed a fury of punches before hitting the Superman punch for the KO victory. Bobcat Jack progresses to the semi-finals to face Krusher Khan.
Death Star (1-0) KOs Yoko-Ohno (0-1) with the Shooting Star The crowd seemed very outraged at the 250+ lb. difference in the fighters at the start of the match. Death Star was in trouble almost immediately as Ohno caught him with a belly to belly slam. Ohno seemed content to keep Death Star grounded and just grind him down with his huge weight advantage. Ohno went for a jumping knee drop but no one was home. Death Star quickly caught him with a flying cross chop and then hit a shooting star. Referee Bull Hammer jumped in and called the fight in favor of Death Star. The crowd absolutely exploded when Death Star won here.
Hype Mcleod is in the locker room area with Warhawk.
Macleod: I'm here with tonight's first alternate Warhawk. That means that he'll be the first name drawn if there's an injury sustained during the tournament. How do you like your chances if you do get called into this tournament? Warhawk: I love my chances in this tournament. At the worst, I have to fight one less time than the other entrants. I would be going in fresh and would be in the finals after 1 match. You better believe that War Hawk will be your first tournament winner if he gets the call.
Rabbid (1-0) KOs The Messenger (0-1) with a thrust kick Rabbid made really short work of the Messenger here. One thrust kick and the Messenger crumpled to the mat. Referee Bull Hammer checked on him and determined he was unable to continue. Rabbid progresses to the semi-finals to face off against Death Star.
Hype Macleod and Scoop Muldoon are in the event center.
They look at the next round of the tournament which features:
Krusher Khan vs. Bobcat Jack Death Star vs. Rabbid
Macleod and Scoop agree that Krusher Khan is the favorite to win the tournament.
Semi-Finals:
Bobcat Jack (2-0) KOs Krusher Khan (1-1) with the Gator Roll Jack didn't look intimidated by Khan at all when the opening bell rang. Khan caught Jack early with a spinning back fist but Jack stayed on his feet. Jack applied the Iron Claw and had Khan in submission trouble. Jack used a Gator Roll and Khan landed right on his head. Jack started throwing punches and referee Bull Hammer jumped in between them. Jack ran a victory lap around the ring and jumped on the cage as he celebrated the win.
Death Star comes down to the octagon for his match. Tick Tock and Rabbid appear and make their way into the cage. Tick Tock talks to the referee and the announcers are speculating what's going on. The referee nods and waves to the back.
Macleod: That signal means that Rabbid has been injured in the previous fight and has dropped out of the tournament. That means that War Hawk will get his shot at being the first ever IFC Champion and winning the $25,000 prize.
Warhawk makes his way into the octagon.
Warhawk (1-0) KOs Death Star (1-1) with the War Dance Death Star looked absolutely spent after his earlier match with Yoko-Ohno. Warhawk went on the attack immediately. He pounded on Death Star with Tomahawk Chops and he kept working a Buffalo Sleeper to try and put Death Star out. Death Star put up a big fight and even gained the advantage as the fight progressed. Death Star missed a shooting star and Warhawk caught him with the War Dance to earn the KO victory.
Final:
Bobcat Jack (3-0) KOs Warhawk (1-1) with the thunder kick Warhawk came strong out of the gate. He tried to work Jack over with the Buffalo Sleeper like he did in the semi-finals against Death Star. Jack managed to slip loose from the hold and worked the Iron Claw against Warhawk. Jack nailed Warhawk with the thunder kick and referee Bull Hammer jumped in and stopped the match. Bobcat Jack is your first ever IFC Champion.
Hype Macleod gets into the ring with Bobcat Jack as he lights a cigar.
Macleod: An absolutely stunning performance here tonight from our first champion Bobcat Jack. He defeated the tournament favorite in Krusher Khan and then he turned around and defeated a much fresher man in the final. How did you do it?
Bobcat Jack: I live to train. This is what I do with my life and if I can't beat some punk that the magazines love or a guy that was taking advantage of the system then I don't belong in this sport.
Macleod: You'll also be receiving $25,000 as a prize for winning this tournament. What do you plan to do with that money?
Bobcat Jack: $25,000 will buy a lot of beer.
Bobcat Jack leaves the cage and leaves Hype Macleod standing there awkwardly for a moment.
Macleod: Thanks for joining us for the inaugural IFC event. Keep your eyes opened for announcements with regards to IFC 2!

It's really fun seeing how each fighter does from player to player and seeing Bobcat Jack being the first Champion and taking $25k is cool stuff, I love his comment about a lot of beers...

I agree with CC - it is great to see who performs for everyone.
Rabbid being "injured"...a mecha beast getting "injured" - something more is going on there. What is Tick Tock up to?
Jack's comments were great about Khan (magazines love him) and Warhawk (taking advantage of the system) - LOL!
Great opening show Maddog - I'm a fan!

I'm going to be writing Bionic Elbow articles as well. These are going to be written in a partisan nature. So I'm going to pick guys to bash on and guys to mindlessly praise.

The Bionic Elbow #1: February 2125
by Scoop Muldoon
The first ever Intergalactic Fight Club show is in the books and the verdict is the show was a great success. All of the IFC management that I was able to get in contact with were very happy with how the show turned out. The word is they're planning to put IFC 2 on in late April or early May. There has been some debate about if Bobcat Jack should be allowed to participate in the next tournament. One camp thinks that if you win a tournament you should have to sit the next one out while the other camp thinks he should be allowed to defend the title. I personally think Jack should be allowed to defend his crown.
Some news and notes from the show:
Rabbid was pulled out of his semi-final match against Death Star due to an "injury". This turned a lot of heads because most people in the know thought that Rabbid was a robot of some kind. I tried to contact Tick Tock about this and all he said was that Rabbid was in no shape to participate in the next match. I went back and watched the tape and the fight was literally 30 seconds. I have no idea where Rabbid could have sustained some injury. My personal theory is that Tick Tock was trying to save face. I think he believed that Rabbid couldn't beat Death Star in that situation and bowed out.
I was highly impressed by Death Star's performance against Yoko-Ohno. He was outweighed by more than 250 lbs. but he somehow managed to beat the much larger man. Unfortunately he had nothing left for his semi-final match. It kind of makes me wish the IFC had weight classes. Let entertaining guys like Death Star fight guys their own size instead of wasting them on stiffs like Yoko-Ohno.
Teams have started to emerge in the wake of the first IFC show. These fighters have decided to start training together and will be in each other's corners during their fights. Tick Tock, Rabbid and Punk A.D. have started the Chaos Theory team. We already knew that Tick Tock and Rabbid were a combo but Punk A.D. is a new part of that equation. Rabbid was really impressive in his match with The Messenger but we've yet to see Tick Tock or Punk A.D. in the octagon. The other notable team formed was by Rocky, Yoko-Ohno and Vincitor. They've started the Wrestle-Box Spirit Club. From what I've been told this is a back to basics kind of fighting style. They want to help guys grounded in another sport integrate MMA into their game.
IFC officials are talking about adding a non-tournament fight between the semi-finals and final. Officials were said to be unhappy with the fact that Warhawk had to essentially walk right back out and fight Bobcat Jack in the final. They felt it negatively effected the quality of that fight. They believe adding a fight will give both competitors a chance to rest and be on more equal footing for the final.

This is an awesome idea - love it! Gives you an opportunity to reflect on each show and give us an idea of what is going on behind the scenes. I may need to steal this idea for my fed.

The Bionic Elbow #2 April 2125:
by Scoop Muldoon
The Intergalactic Fight Club has released the card for the IFC 2 event. The IFC decided that Bobcat Jack would be allowed to defend his IFC crown in this tournament. He was granted an automatic #1 seed in the new tournament. As always the other 7 seeds were picked at random as were the priority of the alternates for injuries. The IFC 2 card will be as follows:
Bobcat Jack (3-0) vs. Tick Tock Punk A.D. vs. Death Star (1-1) Party Pirate vs. Krusher Khan (1-1) Vincitor vs. Warhawk (1-1)
Non-Tournament: The Messenger (0-1) vs. Rocky
Alternates:
Tiki Boom Ken Po (0-1) Yoko-Ohno (0-1) Rabbid (1-0) Honest Abe (0-1)
I think this is a really interesting tournament field this time around. Bobcat Jack is going to have a tough road if he wants to repeat as the IFC Champion. I do like the path that Krusher Khan has for this tournament. I know I hyped him as the favorite for the last tournament and he lost but I still feel that Krusher Khan is the best fighter in the universe. This isn't to take away from Bobcat Jack's win but I think it's only a matter of time until Krusher Khan starts to dominate the IFC. No one in the IFC has the mix of MMA fundamentals and pure physical skills that Khan has shown. It's going to come together for the guy at some point and he's going to be a real force to be reckoned with. I also like Death Star's path to the final this time. He doesn't have the insane mismatch against a bigger opponent like last time.
My pick for the final is Bobcat Jack vs. Krusher Khan with Khan avenging his loss from the first IFC show.

This is an awesome idea - love it! Gives you an opportunity to reflect on each show and give us an idea of what is going on behind the scenes. I may need to steal this idea for my fed. I did this for an Early Classics GWF fed I did. I would write rumors and created other feds. I also used it as a chance to give guys a career before bringing them into the GWF. It worked really well and I like it for MMA because I can interject storylines and angles while keeping it a real sport.

Okay take two:
IFC 2 May 10, 2125:
Round 1:
Bobcat Jack (4-0) KOs Tick Tock (0-1) with the Superman Punch Tick Tock was completely outclassed here. Jack backed him into the cage and just unloaded on him with a series of vicious punches and knees. Jack sized Tick Tock up and caught him with the Superman Punch. There wasn't even a question with the referee. Bobcat Jack was headed back to the semi-finals.
Hype Macleod catches Bobcat Jack as he's leaving the octagon.
Macleod: Another win for the impressive Bobcat Jack. How do you like your chances for repeating as the IFC Champion?
Bobcat Jack: I'm good at what I do and what I do isn't very nice. I've said it before, this is what I live for. I've been training nonstop because I love to fight and there's nothing better in life than the taste of victory. That $25,000 is a nice bonus as well. The beer fund is running a little low.
Death Star (2-1) KOs Punk A.D. (0-1) with the Death March This was a fast paced and high flying fight. Death Star ducked the Sonic Boom Kick and then used the Death March. Referee Bull Hammer jumped in and stopped the fight. Death Star is moving on to the semi-finals to face Bobcat Jack.
Krusher Khan (2-1) KOs Party Pirate (0-1) with the Russian Leg Sweep Khan slammed the Pirate numerous times throughout the match. The Party Pirate looked completed outclassed here. Khan hit a Russian Leg Sweep and the Party Pirate looked to be completely out. Bull Hammer called the match in favor of Krusher Khan. Khan is headed to the semi-finals.
Vincitor (1-0) submits Warhawk (1-2) with the Kinniku Special Vincitor charged across the octagon as the bell rang. He locked on the Kinnku Special and Warhawk had no choice but to tap out. Vincitor heads to the semi-finals after an impressive victory.
Hype Macleod stops Vincitor as he's climbing out of the octagon.
Macleod: A very impressive debut for Vincitor in the IFC. You have to face off with one of the top names in all MMA next... Krusher Khan.
Vincitor: The IFC so far has been dominated by brawlers. It's time that a guy with elite ground skills tests the field. Krusher Khan has never had to fight on the ground before. I'm going to put Khan on the mat and we're going to see how he fares.
Semi-Finals:
Bobcat Jack (5-0) KOs Death Star (2-2) with the Superman Punch Death Star had Jack on the defensive early in the fight. He hit the shooting star and used the Death March. Jack somehow managed to stay moving through this assault. Bobcat Jack managed to land the Superman Punch and Death Star crumpled to the mat. Referee Bull Hammer jumped in to prevent any further damage being inflicted. Bobcat Jack is heading back to the final.
Krusher Khan (3-1) KOs Vincitor (1-1) with the Soviet Sickle Khan kept trying to surprise Vincitor with the spinning back fist but couldn't quite land the hit. Vincitor managed to get Khan on the mat and he tried to lock on the Kinniku Special but Khan managed to slip free. Khan caught Vincitor with the Soviet Sickle from out of nowhere and referee Bull Hammer stopped the fight. Krusher Khan is heading to the final to face Bobcat Jack in a rematch from IFC 1.
Hype Macleod stops Krusher Khan as he climbs out of the octagon.
Macleod: It's a rematch from IFC 1 as Krusher Khan will be facing off with the man that beat him... Bobcat Jack.
Khan: I've been thinking about this moment for the last 4 months. I've been training non-stop for the chance to avenge that loss to Bobcat Jack.
Non-Tournament Match:
Rocky (1-0) KOs The Messenger (0-2) with the Super Combo KO The Messenger worked the Darth Choke as the match progressed. He seemed desperate to keep Rocky off his feet so that he couldn't let the hands start flying. Rocky managed to get the fight standing and unloaded with machine gun punches and an uppercut dash. Rocky blasted The Messenger with the Super Combo KO and referee Bull Hammer stepped in and stopped the fight.
Final:
Bobcat Jack (6-0) KOs Krusher Khan (3-2) with the Superman Punch Khan started going for that spinning back fist again but Jack managed to evade the shot over and over. They grappled against the cage as Jack was trying to use the gator roll and Khan was trying to counter with the Russian Leg Sweep. Jack caught Khan with the thunder kick and Khan looked to be in some serious pain. Jack sensed the opening and nailed Khan with the Superman Punch and it was all over. Bobcat Jack lit a cigar and opened a beer as he was announced as the IFC 2 Champion.
Hype Macleod catches Bobcat Jack as he leaves the octagon.
Macleod: 2 IFC events and 2 IFC Championships for the man they call Bobcat Jack.
Jack: This was a foregone conclusion. No one in the IFC has the stamina that I do. As long as I keep fighting, these tournaments are going to keep going to me. You can hype and love any fighter that you want. You can look forward to watching them fight but you have to accept the reality that they'll eventually have to face me and they're going to look like a fool in the process. See you boys at IFC 3.

The Bionic Elbow #3: June 4, 2125
by Scoop Muldoon
Another IFC in the books and another championship for Bobcat Jack. I think fans and media alike tend to take Jack's working class fighting style for granted at times. He doesn't do anything flashy inside of the octagon like a Ken Po, Krusher Khan or Death Star. He just approaches the fight game with an incredible amount of stamina and an all around good skill set. He defends submissions well, he's hard to take down, his chin seems to be made of granite. And you combine that with the devastating Superman Punch and you have a guy that's currently 6-0 and 2 for 2 in these IFC tournaments. Speaking purely as an analyst. The other guys in the IFC are going to have to step it up if they want to have a hope at winning one of these tournaments.
News and Notes:
I have it on good word that Krusher Khan turned down a spot in Team Chaos Theory. Tick Tock was said to have made the offer shortly after IFC 2 went off the air. I reached out to Khan for a statement and he said "what do I need those losers for?" Tick Tock refused to comment but I have to imagine that he's quite angry at the rejection. I think it's going to be interesting to see how Team Chaos Theory acts if they get Khan in the octagon during the next IFC event. Will they be out to injure him?
I've gotten word that The Messenger, Warhawk and Tiki Boom have formed the training camp of 2nd Realm. This is an interesting development as all three men claim to be from more spiritual than physical planes of existence. I don't know what kind of impact they'll have on the IFC as a whole as Tiki Boom has yet to fight and Warhawk/Messenger have met with mixed success in the IFC so far. But, it is interesting to see how these guys are choosing who to work with as far as training goes.
Vincitor is said to be hard at work in the gym after his loss to Krusher Khan at IFC 2. Vincitor if you recall was one locked in Kinniku Special away from facing Bobcat Jack in the final of the show. I discussed his future with him and Vincitor said that he needs to work on his standing game. He feels that his path to victory is still his ground and submission game. There seems to be a distinct lack of that skill in the IFC right now and he doesn't think most guys can handle him. The good news for Vincitor is that he partnered up with Rocky and I can't think of a better guy to develop your standing game.
There's been talk of adding shows called IFC Gym Wars into the shows. I've talked to IFC officials and they said this would be a chance for fighters that lost in the first round and alternates to get in some activity between IFC shows. They don't want guys that get unlucky to have to sit all year with no fights. I've heard rumors that this event might be taking place in July and that Honest Abe (0-1) vs. Yoko-Ohno (0-1) would be the main event. I will release a special issue breaking down the card if that event is announced.
We're still new to this IFC MMA promotion but I'm going to start giving my personal rankings at the end of each event. This will be based on wins and losses and how impressive I find their victories to be from event to event. I'm also going to have a crowned Bionic Elbow Champion each time. This will usually be the latest IFC Champion but I reserve the right to change that. Here are my initial ratings:
IFC Champion: Bobcat Jack (6-0) 1. Krusher Khan (3-2) 2. Vincitor (1-1) 3. Death Star (2-2) 4. Rabbid (1-0) 5. Rocky (1-0)
