BRUTAL Fighting League 14
Last week, Ultra Sanda shocked the world with his countout victory over Yoko Ohno! But the other Brutalists are always fighting for their spot and getting back to the top -- so anything can happen! 1. HT Mahoney vs War Hawk -- Two hard hitters opened the show. War Hawk got the victory with the War Dance. More notably, after the match, the two men stood face to face in the ring for a few moments, but then shook hands in a sign of respect! 2. Disturbed Youth vs Cosmic Nightmare -- Youth entered the ring first, with no apparent change in his demeanor from the back and forth with Crimson Cross over the last few weeks. Nightmare, however, took his time, antagonizing the crowd as he did. His response was solid jeers and boos. Finally, Nightmare got in the ring and stared straight at Youth, who didn't see to be phased. This ended up being the case, as the normally methodical Youth charged Nightmare immediately upon the bell, smashed him to the ground with a lariat, and then delivered a thunderous Double Knee Drop for the super fast win! (Fast Forward)
Backstage, Ultra Sanda was asked for a comment on his improbable win last week. "Look, I said that I was going to bring justice to BRUTAL -- and I meant it! Doesn't matter who you are, how big you are, or how bad you think you are! No one, I mean no one, will stop me from seeing those who want to bully or intimidate others get what's coming to them!" The interview suddenly stops, as we hear the bellowed battle cry of Yoko Ohno, being held back by a half dozen security guards and officials! Sanda stands his ground, shouting "Let him go! Cmon, let him go!" but to no avail, while Douglas R. Gordon pleads with his client above the cacophony. In short order Sanda is pulled out of the room by another group of guards, as the officials desperately try to keep order!
3. Rampage vs Dr. Matimatico -- Last week Rampage demanded real competition, and Dr. Matimatico was more than willing to provide some! The match was a back and forth affair, with both men playing to their advantages -- but soon enough Rampage managed to get his meaty paws on the Irrational Luchador, and nailed the Boulder Bomb for the win! But the mammoth Rampage was not content with that, and nailed another Boulder Bomb after the bell! This assault brought out Disturbed Youth at a full sprint to help his ZDL comrade, but the numbers soon shifted as Crimson Cross and Cosmic Nightmare also hit the ring, joining Rampage in laying a beating on ZDL! When all seemed lost, who should join the fray but Ultra Sanda, who nailed Cosmic Nightmare with a Zero Bomber and evened the odds! All six men continued to brawl as the broadcast ended!
NEXT WEEK: The level of violence continues to escalate, seemingly building to a crescendo at Showdown 2! What will be the fallout from Ultra Sanda seemingly falling in with ZDL? Plus: Crimson Cross and Yoko Ohno in action! All coming next week on BRUTAL Fighting League!

BRUTAL Fighting League 15
Last week, all hell broke loose as the show went off the air, with 6 men filling the ring with carnage! And as we continue down the road to Showdown 2, it doesn't look like the action will let up any time soon!
1. Crimson Cross vs Ultra Sanda -- The opening bout featured two men who have had a high profile lately in BRUTAL Fighting League, as the wild Crimson Cross met the purveyor of justice Ultra Sanda! Cross mercilessly beat on the smaller Sanda, but as has become typical, Sanda refused to stay down, and continued to hit his opponent with "stick and move" style offensive maneuvers! Eventually though, it looked like Cross was going to put his opponent away, but suddenly the video screen came to life with Disturbed Youth! Youth was sporting bandages on his face, but no mention was made or mind paid them during the broadcast. Once again, Youth's voice echoed across the area, taunting Crimson Cross! Cross immediately began wheeling around, looking for his rival -- which gave Ultra Sanda the tiny opening he needed to nail Zero Bomber for the win! Sanda wasted no time after the bell, immediately jumping the rail to celebrate in the crowd!
2. Yoko Ohno vs Buck Tomkins -- Tomkins made his way to the ring first, but had barely entered the squared circle when Douglas R. Gordon graced us all with his presence, leading Yoko Ohno to the ring.
"Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Douglas R. Gordon, and I am the representative and advocate of the Japanese Super-Giant, and YOUR NEXT BRUTAL Fighting League Champion, Yoko Ohno!" A wide round of boos fills the arena. "Mr. Tomkins, once again I feel the need to forewarn you that, once that bell rings, I will no longer be able to intervene on your behalf for my client... and that whatever may result from the match will be on YOUR HEAD!"
Tomkings urges Ohno to the ring, sitting on the middle rope and opening them wide to the approval of the crowd. Finally, Ohno makes it to ringside and enters, and the match begins!
Ohno is clearly still in a bad mood after the last two weeks, and he looked eager to take it out on Tomkins. After a viscious series of attacks, Ohno locked in a Sumo Bear Hug, seemingly squeezing the life out of Tomkins. The BRUTAL official called for the bell and demanded Ohno release the hold, but he refused! The official then attempted to physically pry Ohno's hands apart, which lead to Gordon rolling under the bottom rope and physically restraining the official! That was the straw that broke the camel's back, and officials and security flooded the ring, prompting Ohno to finally break the hold. Ohno and Gordon beat a path away from the ring, and somehow escaped, unscathed!
The official decision was then announced: The original decision was overturned, and Tomkins was awarded the victory on a disqualification! But, being stretchered out of the area, he did not look like a winner!
With order restored to the ring, the crowd would explode as Shane Studd's music hit! Studd came onto the stage, flanked by Disturbed Youth and Dr. Matematico. Youth still sported the bandages on his face, but again there was no mention of them in any capacity during the broadcast. In the ring, Studd took the mic, and waited for the accolades to quiet slightly.
"You can imagine my surprise, when, last week, while I was out at BRUTAL HQ at the direct invitation of the Board of Governors..." Studd is forced to pause as the negative response is delivered. "While I was at BRUTAL HQ, to see my colleagues, Youth and the Doctor, standing back to back as always, having to deal with all of the wannabes and never-were's which line the dressing room here!"
"So you can then imagine my surprise when one man -- one guy of everybody in the back -- had the balls to come out there and stand tall with ZDL! Ultra Sanda -- get out here!!"
The crowd doesn't know what to make of this development -- they are solidly being both ZDL and Ultra Sanda, but this situation is clearly a powder keg! Sanda's music hits and hurries to the ring, looking between the three men, who all return his gaze dispassionately.
"Shane--"
"Now hold on a minute, Sanda. This belt right here around my waist means that you listen to what I have to say! Got it?!" Sanda replies by putting his hands up in a conciliatory gesture, taking a step back as he does. "Sanda, you came out here last week and stodd with ZDL. You say that you stand for justice, for bringing justice to BRUTAL. Well, you put your money where your mouth was last week, and I, for one, respect that."
"But Sanda... I want to make this perfectly clear to you. You got a lot of heart, kid. You got some big... " Studd pauses here, and Dr. Matematico leans in and adds "Factorials!" Shane looks comically over at his teammate, then shrugs and continues. "Some big... factorials... for sure! But! And I want you to understand this! You can continue your quest for justice... and while we appreciate your assist last week... if you stand in the way of ZDL? Then you, kid, will wind up the same as every! Body! Else!"
The crowd explodes at Shane's stern ultimatum, and Sanda is forced to hold his response for a moment as the crowd roars their approval. When he finally has the opportunity, Sanda replies, "Shane... last week, I saw injustice. So I put myself out there to do the right thing. And I'd do it again, and again, and again, because I believe in justice! So... I want you, all three of you to understand THIS! I'll stand beside you if that is the path I have to walk to bring justice to BRUTAL! But! If any of you step out of line, I will be RIGHT THERE to do whatever is necessary!"
This response was seemingly completely unexpected, as the crowd is a mix of shock and extremely vocal support. Sanda drops his mic and rolls out of the ring, turning his back on ZDL as he walks to the back. In the ring, Shane Studd smiles a bemused smile, as Sanda has done something few men have done and managed to walk away from -- he stood up to ZDL!
3. Tommy Hawk / Road Rage vs HT Mahoney / War Hawk -- These four men have been tangling over the last few weeks, so it is only natural to put them into a tag team match! And much like the other matches these men have had, this was a back and forth slugfest! With Mahoney and Tommy battling outside the ring, Road Rage was working over War Hawk on the inside! Suddenly, Mahoney put Tommy down with a nightstick shot, while War Hawk began a rally, knocking Road Rage to the mat! As Hawk made his way to his corner to make the tag, Mahoney... dropped off the apron?! War Hawk stared incredulously at Mahoney as he walked away from his partner, and thus didn't see Road Rage coming up from behind with the chain! One massive chain shot later, the official called for the bell! This prompted Mahoney to roll into the ring with his nightstick, where he joined Road Rage -- a man he has had many matches against here in BRUTAL and elsewhere -- in beating War Hawk to the mat with chain and nightstick! The two big men left the veteran laying in the middle of the ring, serenaded by the disapproving fans, as the show went off the air!
NEXT WEEK: What kind of shape will Buck Tomkins and War Hawk be in after the punishment they were dealt this week? Who is next on Ultra Sanda's path of justice? Plus: Shane Studd in action! All on the next episode of BRUTAL Fighting League!

Road Rage and H.T. seem to be forming a "BIG" alliance.... Great stuff, as always. I wonder what happened to Youth's face? It would be a shame if someone used the bandages as a target....

Youth will certainly have his work cut out for him over the next few weeks. Someone like Crimson Cross is not one to let an advantage go to waste.
You could even say that Mahoney and Rage have become a TOWERING presence? Eh? Eh?
Thanks for the kind words! Hope everyone is enjoying the build to Showdown 2!

BRUTAL Fighting League 16
Last week, the battle lines continued to be drawn in BRUTAL Fighting League as we move ever closer to Showdown 2!
1. Tommy Hawk vs Warhawk -- These two men were involved in the main event last week, where HT Mahoney turned on Warhawk and joined forces with his longtime rival Road Rage! So it seemed that while both men were obviously interested in winning the match, they were also looking over their shoulder from time to time! It was a hard fought bout, anin the end Warhawk picked up the win with a pair of War Dances. After the match, the two men faced off in the center of the ring, and shook hands in a sign of mutual respect!
2. Cosmic Nightmare vs Muck -- From the display of fair competition and sportsmanship at the end of the last match, things took a turn as Cosmic Nightmare faced off with Muck. While neither competitor received a warm welcome from the BRUTAL crowd, it seemed that most of their ire was directed at Nightmare, who seemed to take great pleasure in their jeers. Muck was game, but the Nightmare proved too much to overcome, as all it took was one solid Cosmic Hook to lay Muck out cold on his back and put it in the books.
After the match, Cosmic Nightmare took a microphone to express himself, much to the displeasure and dismay of the crowd. His voice a booming monotone, Nightmare droned, "For too long, the dust motes who pass themselves off as fighters here in BRUTAL have been allowed to dash about, chaotically, entropically, without rhyme or reason! I, the Cosmic Nightmare, will bring the stillness and silence of the vast reaches of the universe to BRUTAL -- for all shall fall still and silent under my fists!" A loud chorus of boos drown him out. "Know this! There is no justice in the blackness of space! There is only entropy and order! And I shall estinguish the entropy of life, and enforce ORDER!"
3. Shane Studd vs Croak -- After the lecture from Cosmic Nightmare, the crowd was more than ready to explode for their champion Shane Studd as he battled the monstrous Croak! Studd was accompanied by fellow ZDL member Dr. Matematico, but the enforcer of ZDL, Disturbed Youth, was not present. Croak didn't care about the numbers game, and took the fight directly to Studd! The two men exchanged the advantage back and forth, with both men establishing control, only for the other to counter. Croak was able to nail his Frog Stomp, and it looked like the end for Studd, but he managed to escape the pinning combination just before the final count fell! Studd battled back, but Croak saw his opening and struck again, this time with the War Hammer! The air sucked out of the arena in shock as Croak once again went for the victory... but a truly herculean effort by Studd to kick out meant that the match continued! His spirit enflamed by the two near falls, Studd kicked it into high gear, driving Croak backwards! Finally, Studd applied the patented Belly to Belly Suplex and picked up a hard fought, well earned victory!
As Studd and Matematico celebrated in the ring, Douglas R. Gordon and Yoko Ohno appeared on the stage! Both groups tossed insults and barbs at each other, but Gordon and Ohno were in no rush to approach the ring. As the champion and former champion stared each other down, the episode came to an end!
NEXT WEEK: We are less than 3 weeks away from Showdown 2! The Board of Governors has announced that we will learn the full card next week on BRUTAL Fighting League television! What is the status of Disturbed Youth? Tommy Hawk will meet HT Mahoney! Plus: Crimson Cross in singles action! All on the next episode of BRUTAL Fighting League!

BRUTAL Fighting League 17
As we continue to count down to Showdown 2, tensions are running high here in BRUTAL! Tonight the BRUTAL Board of Governors has announced that we will learn the full card for Showdown 2!
1. Buck Tomkins vs El Halcon -- Tomkins was back in action after being injured at the hands of Yoko Ohno a few weeks back, but looked ready to go against El Halcon! The match was a contrast of styles, as would be expected. Tomkins was able to take control of the bout and use his superior strength to dictate the pace, getting the win with the Thundering Stampede in short order! But the celebration was cut short by Rampage, who charged the ring like a bull and laid waste to both men! The behemoth bellowed his rage for all to hear, and it seems that Rampage is still not satisfied with the competition here in BRUTAL Fighting League!
2. HT Mahoney vs Tommy Hawk -- Tommy has been on the periphery of the HT Mahoney and Road Rage situation, but is always up for a fight! And a fight it was, with both Hawk and Mahoney refusing to back down and continuing to crash right into one another! However, after a few minutes, Road Rage hit the ringside area! Before he could interject himself into the match, War Hawk joined him, and the battle was on! Eventually all four men were brawling, and the official had no choice but to the throw the match out! It took BRUTAL security to get everyone separated, as clearly the bad blood between these men has not cooled off at all!
Once order was restored, a video package begins to roll!
The video begins with standard BRUTAL Fighting League graphics and imagery, and then shifts into footage of the last two months of bouts. We then transition to specific individuals, followed by a title card for each match, revealing: --Ultra Sanda vs Cosmic Nightmare! --War Hawk and Tommy Hawk vs HT Mahoney & Road Rage! --Rampage vs a MYSTERY OPPONENT! --Crimson Cross vs Disturbed Youth -- NO DISQUALIFICATION!
Then we cut to footage beginning back during the match to crown the inaugrual BRUTAL Fighting League Champion, as Yoko Ohno defeats Shane Studd. Next, we see Shane suplexing Ohno to win the title at the first Showdown! Finally, we see the events of the last few weeks as the tension has ratcheted up between the two men! --BRUTAL Fighting League Champion Shade Studd vs Yoko Ohno -- 2 OUT OF 3 FALLS TO A DEFINITE FINISH!
The crowd is hot for the announcement of the card, although the video naturally has "Card subject to change" in small letters. With the crowd still hot, a page dashed to the ring to make an announcement. "The BRUTAL Board of Governors--" The page is naturally cut off by a chorus of jeers. "The BRUTAL Board of Governors would like to announce that due to failing to obtain a medical clearance arising from injuries suffered at a third party, "independent wrestling" promotion, Disturbed Youth is BANNED from ringside tonight!" This immediately brings out the boos, but the page merely powders out of the ring as Crimson Cross's music hits!
3. Crimson Cross vs Dr. Matematico -- Cross is the first man out, and despite the announcement from the page, still seems paranoid that Youth is hiding somewhere. Cross makes it to the ring without incident, however. Dr. Matematico comes out on his own, showing no hestiation as he revels in the chants of "QED! QED!" from the crowd.
The match showcases the differing styles, with the Irrational Luchador using superior speed and agility while Crimson Cross continues to mix it up physically. Cross gets the upper hand and is looking to finish his opponent off when the video screen sparks to life, revealing Disturbed Youth! Youth is still heavily bandaged about his face, especially around his eyes, but his voice is clear and derisive. "Crimson Crooooossss... Crimson Crooooossss..."
In the ring, Cross again begins to wheel around, looking for his longtime rival. Youth continues from the screen, "For all your bravado, for all your rage, you can't seem to grasp that which is most obvious... that your future is DISTURBED!"
Amidst the screams of the crowd, Cross rages at the screen, demanding Youth come and face him. Youth merely smiles tightly, "Crimson Cross? Turn around!" Cross spins around expecting an attack, but finds no one there... only for Dr. Matematico to fly in from a flanking position and NAIL Cross with a QED outta nowhere! 1-2-3,put it in the books! On the screen Youth laughs cruelly, as Dr. Matematico rolls out of the ring and writes "ZDL" with his finger in the air! Crimson Cross is laid out in the center of the ring as the broadcast comes to an end!
NEXT WEEK: The card for Showdown 2 lays revealed! In the final installment of BRUTAL Fighting League before the event, what steps will the Brutalists take to ensure their own survival? Who is Rampage's mystery opponent?! What is the stutus of Disturbed Youth?! Plus a HUGE 6 Man Tag Team Main Event! All on the next episode of BRUTAL Fighting League!

BRUTAL Fighting League 18
We are now one week away from Showdown 2! This is the last chance for the Brutalists to compete before the Supershow which will rock the BRUTAL Fighting League!
1. Dr. Matematico vs Muck -- The opening match was a clash of styles, with the skill and agility of the Irrational Luchador against the brute strength of Muck! Control went back and forth, but all it took was one QED for Dr. Matematico to pick up the victory! But the celebration was short lived as Rampage hit the ring and assaulted both men! The BRUTAL Board of Governors appeared ready for this turn of events, as security flooded the ring almost immediately and dragged the furious mastodon out!
2. Road Rage vs Warhawk -- One of the most intense and nastiest series of battles in the history of BRUTAL Fighting League all started with a match between Road Rage and Warhawk, and as that conflict is set to explode at Showdown 2, we have a rematch of those two men! The bell did not even have a chance to ring before both men began tearing into one another! Needless to say this was not a catch as catch can classic! Eventually Warhawk gained the upper hand, and had locked Road Rage into the Buffalo Sleeper! It looked like Road Rage would be finished, but HT Mahoney was suddenly in the ring, where he blasted Warhawk from behind with the nightstick! The bell rang for the DQ, and Tommy Hawk was there as well, and the battle was joined once more! For the second straight match, security had to earn their paychecks as all four men were dragged to the back in an attempt to keep some semblance of order!
3. Shane Studd/Disturbed Youth/Ultra Sanda vs Yoko Ohno/Crimson Cross/Cosmic Nightmare -- In the final match before Showdown 2, three major rivalries all come together for one giant main event! ZDL members Shane Studd and Disturbed Youth expressed measured support for Ultra Sanda's war for justice, but Sanda still walks his path alone! On the other side, these three men subscribe to the theory that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" -- at least that was the appearance granted by their entrances!
Unsurprisingly, things broke down quickly. Immediately after the bell, Crimson Cross and Disturbed Youth attacked one another, brawling their way from the ringside area! Inside the ring, Sanda was isolated by Yoko and Nightmare, neither of whom have any love lost for the crusader of justice. With Studd stuck on the apron, the two monsters laid a beating on Sanda! But as we have seen in weeks prior, Sanda refused to give up!
After what seemed a long time taking abuse, Sanda was able to nail Yoko with a Koppou Kick and get separation! As Ohno tagged out, Sanda was able to make a heroic effort to reach Shane Studd, who unloaded on Cosmic Nightmare! As Studd took control in the ring, Crimson Cross and Disturbed Youth finally made it back to the ringside area, still brawling! Youth (his face still bandaged from injuries suffered several weeks ago) and Cross seemed to be having a running battle, finally devolving into a chair duel outside the ring! The official tried to get the men to assault each other like civilized men, while inside the ring, Studd and Sanda had Nightmare on the ropes! Sanda was going for Zero Bomber to put away his rival, when Cross broke away from the melee outside, hit the ring and flattened Sanda with Bombjack! This gave Nightmare, the legal man, time to make the opportunistic pin for the victory!
The bell rang repeatedly, but no one was ready to give up the fight at this point! Making it three out of three for security, once again they were forced to flood the ringside area to separate the Brutalists! As the program went off the air, chaos still reigned with no end in sight!
NEXT WEEK: SHOWDOWN 2!

BRUTAL Fighting League Presents: Showdown 2
It has been eight weeks since the first Showdown, when Shane Studd defeated Yoko Ohno to become the BRUTAL Fighting League Champion. In those eight weeks, rivalries have begun, friendships have been shattered, new challengers have arisen, and new stars have begun their climb to reach the top of the mountain! It all has come to this, as BRUTAL Fighting League presents Showdown 2!
1. Dr. Matematico vs El Halcon -- The opening bout of Showdown 2 featured two of the most exciting and entertaining men in BRUTAL, as the Irrational Luchador Dr. Matematico battled the high flying El Halcon! The match did not disappoint from that respect, as the two luchadores went back and forth trading attacks in a fast-paced matchup! In the end, El Halcon was able to lock in the El Halcon Clutch and get the victory, but afterwards both men shook hands in a sign of mutual respect and fighting spirit, to the broad approval of the audience.
2. Buck Tomkins vs Croak -- The second bout of Showdown 2 featured two powerful straight-ahead fighters, about as different as you could imagine from the opening contest! It is not often that Buck Tomkins gives up a size and strength advantage to his opponent, but the monstrous Croak is one such opponent! It seemed that no matter what attacks Tomkins managed to land on Croak, the Amphibious Monster just kept coming! Eventually Croak took full control of the match, and one War Hammer later, it was all over. Despite his hard earned victory, Croak seemed to show no emotion one way or the other after getting his hand raised!
3. War Hawk & Tommy Hawk vs HT Mahoney & Road Rage -- One of the most hotly anticipated bouts of the evening came next, as the blood feud between War Hawk and the team of Mahoney and Road Rage has reached its boiling point! And adding the Vanguard of Violence Tommy Hawk into this volatile situation is like literally throwing gasoline on a fire! Anyone who bought their ticket (or joined the BRUTAL Fighting League Network to livestream) was not disappointed with this barbaric match which saw three of the four men sporting the proverbial "crimson mask!" Each new sequence seemed to bring out new levels of depravity, as Rage and Mahoney slammed their opponents through tables, and on the steel ring steps! But War Hawk and Tommy were no less creative, slinging steel chairs like they belonged on some medieval battlefield! Finally, Road Rage had Tommy prone in the ring, and applied the Suicide Clutch! War Hawk came to make the save, but he was cut off in the ring by Mahoney! Mahoney used his nightstick to apply a crossface clutch on War Hawk, forcing him to watch as Tommy was locked in the Suicide Clutch! Finally, the official called for the bell and ended the match, despite Tommy Hawk never submitting or tapping out! All four men received medical attention after the match, and had to be escorted separately away from the ringside area!
4. Rampage vs MYSTERY OPPONENT! -- The masked behemoth known as Rampage has been tearing through BRUTAL Fighting League over the past several weeks, demanding a higher caliber of competition! The BRUTAL Board of Governors has not appreciated his actions, and promised to provide the big man with a "suitable" opponent! Rampage made his way out first, taunting the jeering crowd as he did. In the ring, he addressed the audience, screaming the entire time. "WELL?! Here I am! I'm right here! Where's this guy that's supposedta be a real challenge?! Huh?! Where the hell is this guy?! Ain't nobody back there man enough to look me in the eye and fight me!" With that, Rampage threw the microphone to the ground and continued to call out his mystery opponent.
The arena was then filled with what sounded like the ambient sounds of the jungle... soon joined by rhythmic beating of tribal drums! Out of the back came the mystery opponent -- an ebony skinned giant, wearing a three foot tall tribal mask, a loincloth, and little else, but armed with a viscous wooden spear! As the newcomer made his way to the ring, the ring announcer boomed, "Ladies and gentlemen, his opponent... THE HEADHUNTER!"
Rampage raged in the ring, champing at the bit to fight! Headhunter removed his tribal mask, revealing warpaint covering his face and lips! The two huge men stared each other down, the calm before the storm! Finally, the bell rang! Both men charged directly at the other, but Headhunter got the better of the clash, knocking Rampage flat on his back! Immediately, Headhunter broke into a sprint, hit the opposite rope and returned with a thunderous jumping splash in the center of the ring! The official slid in, and it was 1, 2, 3! The crowd roared with shock and amazement as the newcomer ran right through Rampage! Headhunter began to slap his belly rhythmically at ringside, as the crowd seemed to be in a state of stunned excitement! In the ring, Rampage recovered enough to get to his fate, and his rage exploded to levels heretofore unseen! It looks like Rampage has finally gotten the competition he has long demanded!
Following this match, an announcement was made that War Hawk, Tommy Hawk, HT Mahoney, and Road Rage were all taken to a local medical facility for evaluation. No official word was provided on the extent of anyone's injuries, but we are hoping to learn more next week on BRUTAL Fighting League.
5. Disturbed Youth vs Crimson Cross -- No Disqualification -- In the history of BRUTAL Fighting League, no two men seem to despise each other more Disturbed Youth and Crimson Cross, dating all the way back to the earliest days of the league. Recognizing the intense hatred, the BRUTAL Board of Governors made his match No Disqualification! Disturbed Youth, still sporting the last vestiges of bandages on his face, made his way out first, but did not even make it into the ring before being attacked from behind by Cross! After throwing Youth into anything he could find on the way to the ring, Cross finally tossed his opponent into the ring for the bell to sound and officially begin the bout!
While the match legally started in the ring, it did not stay there! Intent to use every avenue of violence available, Cross tossed Youth right back out and began working over his rival outside the ring! A well timed dodge by Youth sent Cross crashing into the guard rail, and let Youth take over! The "running battle" was on, as the two men soon fought away from ringside, and ended up in the concessions area! Trays of funnel cakes were turned into weapons, and Cross rammed Youth with an oversized popcorn machine!
The two continued fighting upwards through the arena, soon arriving at on the balcony of the upper level! At this dangerous venue, Cross flattened Youth with a Bombjack, but the Disturbed One managed to fall away from the balcony, avoiding disaster! This forced Cross to pick Youth up and begin moving him back to ringside, but before he got too far, Youth regained his senses and turned the tables, nailing Cross with a Disturbed Death Drop!
Now Youth faced the same problem: he had to Cross back into the ring! Dragging his rival along, Youth got back down to the lower level, but while amongst the crowd, Cross had had enough and started firing back on Youth! With some fans running for their lives and others pushing in for a closer look, the battle continued unabated until Cross connected with a second Bombjack! It looked like Youth was completely out of it after that, as Cross dragged him to ringside! Forcibly lifting Youth up and into the ring, Cross looked like he was ready to end it, but from somewhere Youth got another burst of energy! Lariating Cross to the mat, Youth moved in for the kill, with a Disturbed Death Drop right in the center of the ring! The cover... 1, 2, NO! Cross was not done yet!
Both men were battered, but the burning hatred in their guts kept both men moving toward one another! The fight spilled out of the ring again, down the ramp and into the backstage area! As the camera crew raced to keep up with them, technicians and other behind-the-scenes folks darted out of the way of the two madmen! Cross took the advantage by ramming Youth into a heavy travel crate, then climbed on top of some rigging for a big splash! But a quick counter by Youth resulted in another Disturbed Death Drop!
With Youth in control, he grabbed Cross by the back of the neck and marched him back to ringside. When it seemed that Youth was going to throw Cross back in the ring for the pin, he paused, and looked around the ringside area. Grabbing a pair of folding chairs, Youth set them up seat-to-seat, and then in the coup de grace, slammed Cross through both chairs with another Disturbed Death Drop! That was finally enough to put Cross down, as Youth pinned him for the victory, then promptly collapsed.
With neither man moving, EMTs swarmed the ring. A hush had fallen over the crowd as Youth's facial wounds and neck were examined, and Cross was having his eyes checked with a handheld flashlight. Stretchers were brought out, but both men refused them. Separated by a dozen EMTs and officials, Youth and Cross stared each other down across the ring, fire burning in the eyes of both men. With officials screaming in their faces to vacate the ring immediately, it seemed that an unspoken message went between the two rivals, as they both turned and walked away to separate exits, without incident. While Youth won this round, it seems that the war between these two men may never end!
6. Ultra Sanda vs Cosmic Nightmare -- The crowd did not seem to know how to feel after the intensity of the last match, and there was a lot of nervous energy and vibes flowing through the arena in the deafening silence as the EMTs cleared their gear out from ringside. The silence was broken by a roar of approval when Ultra Sanda was introduced! The young fighter for Justice has seemingly had a rocket strapped to his back over the last few months in BRUTAL, and the crowd rewarded him with their praise. The praise immediately flipped to scorn with the introduction of Cosmic Nightmare, who has made no secret of his disdain for all he considers to be "chaotic!"
The match was a clash of styles, with Sanda using his athleticism and agility while Nightmare was using his heavy fists, looking for the knockout blow! The end seemed to come quickly when Nightmare connected with a Cosmic Hook after a few minutes! But, Sanda refused to stay down, and the match continued! Sanda got in his offense, nailing kicks and other strikes, but he couldn't hold onto the advantage long enough to get in position for the Zero Bomber. Nightmare was able to then land a second Cosmic Hook! But once again, Sanda refused to be defeated!
Nightmare did not seem to have any emotional response, instead simply pushing the advantage with a third Cosmic Hook! But once again it was not enough, as Sanda just squeaked his shoulder out before the official's hand fell a third time! The crowd solidly behind him, Sanda once more took the fight to the larger Nightmare. But despite another flurry, Nightmare came back with a fourth Cosmic Hook! This one put Sanda down for the count! Nightmare seemed to revel in the lusty boos of the crowd as he left the ringside area, but Ultra Sanda was given a hero's response as he got back to his feet in the ring! Bowing and pointing to all four sides of the arena, Sanda was humble in defeat. As far as the crowd was concerned, he was still the victor, and the journey on the road to justice continues!
7. BRUTAL Fighting League Championship -- Shane Studd (c) vs Yoko Ohno -- 2 out of 3 Falls to a definite finish -- Now it was indeed time for the main event, with the BRUTAL Fighting League Championship on the line between the first champion and the current champion! 2 out of 3 falls, with a definite winner left standing at the end!
The first man to enter was actually Douglas R. Gordon, followed by his humongous client Yoko Ohno. "Ladies and gentlemen! My name is Douglas R. Gordon and I am the advocate and representative of your NEXT BRUTAL Champion, the Japanese Super Giant, Yoko Ohno! And while Shane Studd might delude himself into thinking that maybe he can somehow squeak by and steal another phony victory over my client, NO ONE, not even all of YOU RUBES out there, can possibly be dimwitted enough to think that it would be possible to steal two victories!" A resounding wave of boos serenade the two men as Ohno stands in his corner, staring like a jungle cat waiting for a meal.
The tension ratchets up as the crowd waits, only to erupt in jubilant approval when Shane Studd's music hits! The champion takes his time walking to the ring, staring a hole into Yoko as he does. In short order he is in the ring, clearly focused entirely on the mammoth task at hand. The bell rang, and the battle was joined!
As this is the third match between these men, it was clear that they were starting out with a bit of a feeling out process, not wanting to be the first to make a mistake. Whenever one man would get the advantage, the other would roll out of the ring and slow things back down, both men seeming to realize that they would be in for a long night. But after a few minutes, Studd took control and began to work the big man over. Ohno was not interested in being stretched, and used his power to exert his own will. physically pushing Studd around the ring with his meaty paws! Studd kept fighting back however, selling every hit he received dearly right back. Soon Studd was able to rock Ohno with his fists, and got the big man reeling! Studd quickly closed the gap, snatched a front waist lock and immediately had Ohno set up for the Belly to Belly Suplex! But Ohno had the move well scouted, and shifted his weight to the side while driving his knee into Shane's, buckling the champion to the mat and landing on top of him as he did! Studd grabbed at his knee as Ohno pressed the advantage, quickly dragging Studd to the corner and nailing a Banzai Drop! The official slid in, 1, 2, 3! The first fall had gone to Ohno!
The official made Ohno return to his corner while the checked on Studd. Ohno, raising his hands in triumph, was naturally booed, but the booing got even more intense as Gordon jumped on the apron with two handheld fans to refresh his client! As the official repeatedly asked Studd if he was able to continue, Studd tested out his right knee. It looked like Studd could put his weight on it, but barely. Finally the champion barked back at the official, loud enough to be picked up on the mics, "Ring the damn bell!"
Studd showed no sign of hesitation as he went right at his larger foe, but it was clear that his mobility was being hurt by his injured knee. Ohno unleashed a series of chops and slams, forcing Studd to repeatedly stand back up, putting more strain on the knee over and over. Studd eventually was able to once again gain the advantage, using his fists, clotheslines, and any other attacks he could manage! With the crowd rallying behind him, Studd was on a roll! But all it took was one sharp martial arts kick to the right knee and Ohno was in control again! Studd was forced to retreat to the corner to pull himself back onto his feet, while Ohno squatted down in a sumo stance, ready to strike! Studd looked to be downright hobbled as he favored his left leg and slowly turned to face Ohno. Immediately upon Studd turning to face him, the Super-Giant charged like a bull at his opponent! But it seems Studd was not as hobbled as it appeared, as the champion quickly darted a step forward, snatched Ohno's leg with his right hand, grabbed a waistlock with the left, and using the bigger man's own momentum, got him up in the air, driving him headfirst into the mat with the Fisherman Buster! Studd drapes himself over Ohno and the official counts 1, 2, 3! Studd has taken the second fall! It all comes down to this!
In his corner, Studd continued to exercise and stretch his knee -- while he may not have been completely down and out, his knee still looks to be in rough shape, especially after having to help support the weight of the massive Ohno. Across the ring, Gordon was pouring water over Ohno's head and ranting, at Ohno, at the official, at anyone within earshot. Finally Ohno was done, pushing Gordon off the apron, standing tall and motioning across to Studd with his hand, shouting "Ora, ora, ORAAA!" Studd and Ohno both walk to the center of the ring, staring each other down once again, as the official calls for the bell on the third and decisive fall!
The two men were both hurt and exhausted, but they still came at one another fiercely, with no quartered given, and none asked. The sweat poured off of each man with each blow, back and forth. Ohno was seemingly starting to lose his wind, dropping down to one knee under a withering barrage of right hands from Studd. But when Studd hit the ropes for a clothesline, Ohno was back on his feet and countered with a massive open palm strike direct to Shane's chest! And considering the sheer size of Ohno's hand, we do mean his ENTIRE chest! Studd's chest was instantly pink, and then blotchy red as the leaking blood vessels began to give rise to gruesome bruises on Studd's pectorals and abdomen. Studd's face reflected obvious pain as he drew breath, but still the champion got back to his feet to keep fighting!
Seeing his opportunity to end the match, Ohno quickly closed the distance and applied the sumo bear hug, bringing an audible gasp from the audience! While Gordon screamed his encouragement from the outside, Ohno squeezed repeatedly, leaning as much of his frame on top of Studd's upper half as he could. Studd's right knee bends and hits the mat, and it seems like the end is nigh for the title reign of Shane Studd! The crowd is raucous in their support of Studd, but his arms began to hang limply at his sides as Ohno continues to grind the bear hug!
Suddenly, Studd's arms stop their descent. Slowly, they begin to rise back up, wrapping around Ohno's massive waist! Studd slowly, tensely pushes on his injured right knee, regaining his feet! Now standing tall, Ohno still bearing down on him with his massive chest and arms, Studd reached his arms as far as he can around Ohno's waist! And, much like he did in their match at the first Showdown, Studd grabbed Ohno's mawashi, and seemingly impossibly quickly, snapped his hips, and drove Ohno to the mat with the Belly to Belly Suplex! Studd collapsed ontop of Ohno and the official slid over to the bigger man's shoulders! 1... 2... 3! Shane Studd has won the deciding fall to retain the BRUTAL Fighting League Championship!
As the crowd erupts in approval, Studd limps his way to the corner. The official raises his hand in victory, and hands him the BRUTAL Championship. The battered and bruised Shane Studd held the belt up high for the adoration of the crowd, while Ohno rolled out of the ring and made a slow retreat to the back with Gordon on his flank. But the final image of the broadcast is Shane Studd, standing tall in victory, his body reflecting the cost of his successful title defense!

Showdown 2 was off the charts!!! It was also definitely “brutal”! Warhawk/Tommy Hawk vs MT Mahoney/Road Rage was awesome. It is clear nothing was settled there between those four men. Rampage taking the loss to Headhunter was a shock, and I know Rampage will not live that one down! Disturbed Youth and Crimson Cross did not disappoint, as they were brutal and held nothing back! That one will definitely continue! Then the capstone! What a war between Shane Studd and Yoko Ohno! It was awesome to see Shane Studd defeat the Japanese Super Giant again! Shane Studd is the man! Great job buddy! Your fed is awesome and one that I enjoy reading!
