I've decided to create a thread to post my fed results. Who knows how often I will be able to run cards but I am really enjoying the game so far. The matches are quick so I might just stick with it. One of the things that I really enjoyed about reading the story at the beginning of the first game edition booklet was that Eric named everyone involved. So, one of the things that I hope to do through my fed, is give them all a voice. I am a big MMA fan so I will definitely draw some inspiration from that world but my other nerdy interests - pro wrestling, video games & comic books - will also play a part in the shaping of this fed. I've never played COTG, other than a few cards so I hope this is something I can keep up with... Edit: I've decided to keep my records/rankings all in one place and this first post seems like as good as any. Starred names are not currently a part of the main IFC roster. Alexander (1-4) Bien Vestido (9-5) Black Jack (1-0) Bobcat Jack (11-6) Buck Tomkins (7-2) Butterfly Haley Jean (0-1)* Celsius (3-3) Comet (3-5) Connor (1-2) Death Star (6-7) Demtor (7-3) El Halcon (1-5)* El Pikador (7-6) Fahrenheit (3-3) Freakenstein (1-4) Havoc Killbourne (0-1)* Hollywood Gunn (7-5) Honest Abe (9-9) Ken Po (4-15) Krusher Khan (6-12) La Cerdita (6-6) - Banished to the void
Lionheart (0-1) Little Miss Spookiness (3-3) The Messenger (9-8) Mr. Ion (6-2) Muck (7-1) Party Pirate (8-6) PowerMonger (2-2) Punk A.D. (6-8) - Banished to the void
Rabbid (11-6) Ratchet (8-8) Rocky (10-9) Saint Nick (2-2) Soldier Ant (1-0) Squatch (7-7) Stretchrrrr (5-7) Tick Tock (4-8) Tiki Boom (8-11) Txur’itan (0-1)* UK Bruiser (5-2) Vincitor (9-6) Warhawk (10-7) X'Ian (0-1)* Yoko-Ohno (7-10)

IFC 1
Hype MacLeod: Welcome fight fans to the Intergalactic Fight Club. I am Hype MacLeod and I have the pleasure of calling the action for this amazing event. The Agents of Time have assembled THE most amazing field of combatants to compete in the first ever Interstellar Super Grand Prix. The winner will not only go down in the history books as the first ever ISGP champion but will also be awarded the IFC Grand Championship. I love to hear myself talk but we need to get backstage to Scoop Muldoon. Ratchet Interview:Ratchet is walking past Scoop Muldoon...Scoop Muldoon: Ratchet!!! Can I get your thoughts on being named the biggest underdog of this tournament? Ratchet: Underdog? Says who? How can I possibly be considered an underdog when I have worked harder than every guy here. How can I possibly be considered an underdog when I want and need this tournament win more than every guy here? It’ll be tough, no doubt, but my victory is already a foregone conclusion in my mind… you all just haven’t seen it play out yet. Scoop Muldoon: Looks like that is all I will be able to get out of her. Back to you Hype! Hype MacLeod: The ISGP tournament is a round robin tournament, with the 16 fighters broken up into four different brackets – the orange, green, blue and red brackets. The winner of each of those brackets will move on to the final round… another round robin tournament to crown the ISGP Champion! Let’s go down to the cage for the first fight of the Interstellar Super Grand Prix, Punk A.D. vs. Ratchet! Punk AD vs. Ratchet – A great back and forth fight between the past and future champion and the IFC’s underdog. In the end it was two straight WRIST ROCKETs that get Ratchet the knockout win. Rocky Interview: Scoop Muldoon: So, tell us, Rocky, what is it that has brought you to the Intergalactic Fight Club? Rocky: Ya know, I agreed to join dis tournament for a couple a reasons. First, I know I’m da best boxer in da galaxy. Muh gold belts prove that. I’m here to prove that being da best boxer means I’m da best fighter. Boxing is #1 in combat. Always has been. Always will be. Da other reason I’m here is to get another crack at Krusher Khan. I just have to hope we both make it into the next round or I might have to find him backstage. Rocky vs. War Hawk – Both men are respectful at the outset of the fight. The shake hands before going to war. Rocky dominates the early portion of the fight, using his quick punching skills to keep War Hawk at a distance. War Hawk seems to be able to shake them all off, though, and uses them as a sort of momentum to propel him into his WAR DANCE. The finisher isn’t enough to keep Rocky down. He gets up but immediately gets hit with another WAR DANCE. This time Rocky is out like a light. Krusher Khan Interview: Scoop Muldoon: Krusher, it seems you and Rocky have a bit of history… Care to shed some light on what has him so fired up? Our intergalactic viewership would love to know.. Krusher Khan: I have no idea what he is upset about. I have beaten him in past fights. That is all. The rhinoceros thinks little of ants he crushes beneath his rampaging feet. Krusher Khan vs. Bobcat Jack – Bobcat Jack gets off to a quick start, wobbling Khan with the Thunder Kick. Moments later he connects with a SUPERMAN PUNCH, knocking the big Russian to the ground. This seems to be what was needed to wake him up as he immediately begins firing punches back at Jack. Jack ends up eating a heaping helping of Khan’s knuckle sandwiches but manages to slip out of range and deliver a second devastating SUPERMAN PUNCH to get the win. Honest Abe Interview: Scoop Muldoon: Mr. Pres… um… Mr. Abe, you were plucked by the Agents of Time from a era before you go on to do some pretty amazing things. I’m sure you’ve heard rumblings back stage. What are your thoughts on all of this? It must be a little bit of a distraction, to think of all the things to come in your life, yet knowing you are about to face some of the toughest physical battles imaginable. Honest Abe: Mr. Muldoon… Can I call you Scoop? I’m a simple, hard working man. I may go on to lead a great nation, command an army, free thousands of people from slavery and… be assassinated… But, my father always taught me that there’s a time for dreaming about the future and there’s a time for hard work. Right now is a time for hard work and I’m focused on the task at hand. Thank you, good sir. Scoop Muldoon: It’s been an honor, sir. Honest Abe vs. Vincitor – These two honorable competitors shake hands prior to the contest beginning, swearing to have a clean, honest match. Odds are this will be a wrestling heavy affair. The two men grapple back and forth, pinning each other against the cage and mat on multiple occasions. This is chain wrestling at its finest, folks. Coming out of one of these struggles, Abe is able to snap on the LINCOLN LOCK, shaking Vincitor from side to side as he torques on his neck and shoulders. The pink skinned wrestler is able to escape the hold but gets smashed with a double axe handle for his troubles. Another LINCOLN LOCK seems to be slowing Vincitor down but he isn’t out yet. He manages to fight back, putting Abe on the mat with a Fireman’s Carry Slam… but it’s not enough. They go back and forth for another few minutes before Abe gets Vin in another LINCOLN LOCK. This time it looks like Vin has no choice to tap. He might be going out… NO! A last minute, quick spin gets him free. He is visibly weak but will fight on. After a double leg driving take down, Vincitor locks on the KINNIKU SPECIAL. Abe is too tough and Vincitor may be too worn out to fully work the hold. As both men are standing, Abe grabs hold of another LINCOLN LOCK. This time it’s just too much for Vincitor and he is forced to tap. What a main event!!! Hype MacLeod: And with that amazing night cap, I will bid you all a good night. I hope… no, I KNOW I will see you all next time.

This was a great opening show pikemojo! Loved how you brought character to each fighter interviewed, and I have to say, Ratchet is my undefeated Champion - she is better than you might think. I think Honest Abe's interview was the best - great job all around though. Keep posting results and we will continue reading them and responding! Great job!!

Thanks everyone! It's been fun to write up and post results from the very beginning of this fed. As many of you know, I am a big LOWer but never posted my results on the forums. I got so far in that it felt weird to go back and post the early stuff but also felt weird to start posting right in the middle. I won't have that problem here.

IFC 2 Hype MacLeod: Welcome back to IFC, fight fans! We are going to start off this week’s show by showing you viewers something that happened before last week’s show went on the air. We didn’t have time in our jam packed schedule last week to show this to you but this is something that HAD to be seen by our viewers. Recap: A group of fighters are shown having a heated conversation backstage when all of a sudden the air crackles and a strange, skeletal looking man and a giant robotic rabbit appears out of thin air.Tick Tock: My name is Tick Tock and this is Rabbid. I hold the keys to the future and the past. You will all agree to allow us into this tournament. You will be defeated but there is little other option. Honest Abe: Hold on one moment, you ghoul! We have all worked hard and earned our spots in this tournament. We will not be bullied… Tick Tock: SILENCE!!! As he says this, Rabbid steps forward and flexes his enormous arms. Steam shoots out of his robotic nostrils. Abe is lifted high into the air by his throat and slammed down onto Rabbid’s knee.Tick Tock: If anyone disagrees with our entry I can and will travel to your past or your future to ruin everything that you are and everything that you ever could be. Not to mention Rabbid destroying your present’s body. Hahahahahahahaha!!! The Agents of Time walk into the area with two men, one a giant hairy creature with martial arts gloves and one a masked yellow luchador with pointed ears and a tail. Agent #1: If the 14 of you are in agreement, Tick Tock and Rabbid will enter the tournament and Squatch and Pikador here will have to earn their way in the old fashioned way… through the Sentinels of the Cosmos! All 14 Tournament Fighters: We agree… El Pikador: Awwwww man… Hype MacLeod: Wow… I still can’t believe it after seeing it so many times with my own eyes. These two mysterious men have just bullied their way into the tournament. We literally know nothing about them other than what you just heard. You’d better believe that Scoop Muldoon has been working all week to find out more but for now Rabbid is about to take on Tiki Boom so maybe we will get a glimpse into what can be expected from these two time traveling misfits. Tiki Boom vs. Rabbid - Tiki Boom seems to anticipate big things from his opponent so he gets right to the action, attacking Rabbid with everything he has in his arsenal. A BOOM SHAKA-LAKA nearly takes Rabbid out but he powers up. Tiki Boom stays on him but gets nailed with a SPINE SMASHER for his troubles. Amazingly Tiki Boom is able to make it to his feet but he just doesn’t have the same skip in his step. A minute later, a thrust kick from Rabbid has the Tongan staring the ceiling lights of the Box Office Arena. Rabbid wins! Party Pirate Interview: Scoop Muldoon: Party Pirate, this is your first fight in IFC but something tells me it’s not your first fight ever. Party Pirate: You’ve got that right, man! Fighting’s as much a part of my life as drinking and partying is. Party… Fight… Party… Fight! Sometimes I party and fight at the same time! Party har, har, har, hard! I love my life, hearty! Scoop Muldoon just looks into the camera and shrugs.Party Pirate vs. Death Star – Party Pirate comes raging into the fight, nailing Death Star with some sort of a strike. It was all too quick to actually see what hit. Instant replay reveals it was a simultaneous punch and kick… a punch-kick, if you will. Party Pirate continues his lightning quick assault, never allowing Death Star enough time to mount any sort of offense. Death Star goes down to the PARTY PUNCH. Party Pirate walks out of the cage and grabs a couple of recreational beverages from the fans at cageside and guzzles them down as he walks to the back. Death Star comes to minutes later… Death Star: Is that all you got? Death Star looks around, realizes Party Pirate is long gone and wobbles his way out of the cage. He also grabs a bottle from someone in the crowd, tips it back, only to see the one single drop fall out and miss his mouth. Death Star droops his head in disappointment. The Messenger Interview: Scoop Muldoon: I am here with The Messenger, who has asked for a little of our air time before his fight against Yoko Ohno. Go ahead, Messenger, the mic is all yours. The Messenger: The Sentinels of the Cosmos have sent me to participate in the ISGP with the sole purpose of finding and stopping an evil force that they had sensed. I don’t yet know who represents this evil but I will find the individual or individuals and eliminate them. An epic war is coming to the IFC. No man or woman will be spared. Scoop Muldoon: You heard it here first, folks! Epic war! Coming soon! Yoko-Ohno vs. The Messenger – The Messenger immediately tries to force the champion sumo against the cage but Yoko-Ohno shows surprising agility in moving out of the way and letting The Messenger go back first into the steel mesh. What technique and strength! The Messenger comes back with a duo of Knee Blasters that wobble the big man. LAST RITES knocks Ohno to the floor but he is able to push himself back up. A head kick brings Ohno to his knees. Another LAST RITES almost puts Ohno out, only managing shake the cobwebs loose at the very last possible second. He works his way to his knees but The Messenger uses a Darth Choke to hold him there. Still not enough! Another LAST RITES! Another near finish but Ohno is again working to get to his feet. Yoko-Ohno manages to throw The Messenger to the floor and connect with the BANZAI SPLASH but The Messenger is able to get back up easily. The two begin firing back and forth, finisher after finisher and seemingly getting stronger with each hit. This is incredible! The Messenger fires off one final crushing LAST RITES to get the win. Tick Tock vs. Ken Po – Tick Tock starts the action with some knee strikes. The two fighters go back and forth, neither gaining or losing an inch. As the strikes start to show on the face of Ken Po the fight ends up against the cage but continues to alternate which fighter is in control. A THUMB TRAP from Tick Tock gives us the first real glimpse of his ruthlessness. He wrenches on his opponent’s arm and thumb but Ken Po doesn’t give up easily. Once Tick Tock releases the hold he immediately goes back to those vicious knee strikes and ultimately gets the KO of Ken Po. Hype MacLeod: Another great night of fights here in the Box Office Arena. There’s no doubt that we have some of the best fighters this galaxy has to offer. Until next time…

I loved the characterization in the dialogue / interviews, especially how you wrote Rabbid. I look forward to seeing what you have Tick Tock and his beast do in the future.
Also, the fight descriptions are top notch!

Also, the fight descriptions are top notch! Thanks, man! I have a lot of fun rolling the matches/fights so I often end up feeling like I am writing down too many details about the fight so I'm glad the fun that I have rolling the fights is coming through in my descriptions. I've rolled out 6 cards now so things are starting to develop for a lot of different characters. Just like in FG games, you can have storylines perfectly laid out but ultimately the dice are gonna do what the dice are gonna do.

Loved the Messenger interview and Death Star's moment was awesome! I could totally see his dejection at only getting a drop. Poor Pikador has to go through the Sentinels to get in - LOL! Great show pikemojo! Keep it up man!

IFC 3 Hype MacLeod: Welcome back, fight fans! We are live at IFC 3 and we have another stacked card for you tonight. All fights are a part of the Interstellar Super Grand Prix. The first two fights feature four fighters who are hoping to get their first win of the tournament, hoping to stay relevant. Our third fight features the always fun Party Pirate taking on the man with a no shortage of fighters with their sights set on his back, Krusher Khan. And our main event features Honest Abe against the mysterious Tick Tock. Both men looked very impressive in their last fight. It will be interesting to which one will move to 2-0 in the IFC. But first, let’s go backstage to Scoop Muldoon and get to know Punk A.D. a little bit more. Punk AD Interview: Scoop Muldoon: I’m here with Punk A.D. Do you want me to call you Punk or Mr. A.D.? Punk A.D.: Punk A.D. is fine. Scoop Muldoon: Well, Punk A.D., you come to the IFC with quite a resume. Titles in both the past and the present. Not many fighters can make a claim like that. Punk A.D.: NO other fighters can make that claim. I’m the only fighter to ever hold this achievement and I will capture the IFC Grand Championship, giving me my own version of the triple crown. Scoop Muldoon: In your last fight, though, you were beaten by Ratchet, the person many fight fans were looking at as the ultimate underdog of this tournament. What happened? Punk A.D.: What happened was a complete fluke. I got caught, I’ll give it to her but if she and I fought 100 times, this would be her only win. You know what? I don’t have time for any more of your questions. Punk A.D. (0-1) vs. Tiki Boom (0-1) – Somebodies 0 has got to go! The opening moments of the fight see both men going hold for hold, strike for strike when out of nowhere Punk A.D. connects with a SONIC BOOM KICK and ends the match. Punk A.D. walks out of the cage, arms outstretched and yells, “Best in the galaxy, baybay!” Yoko-Ohno Interview: Scoop Muldoon: I’m here with Yoko-Ohno, far and away the largest man in this competition. This HAS to be an advantage, right? Is your strategy based solely around your massive size advantage? Sonny Onoo walks in from off camera. Sonny Onoo: Yoko-Ohno and I had a conversation recently. Not only does he not like the taste of your English language on his tongue, but he’d also like to focus his energies on the in-the-cage action. He has hired me, Sonny Onoo, manager of past champions such as the Ultimo Dragon, Kaz Hayashi and Jushin Thunder Liger. I’ll be handling all of Mr. Ohno’s business matters and interviews from here on out. (Sonny Onoo pats Yoko-Ohno on the back) Go ahead, big man, make sure your calorie count is where it needs to be for this next fight. (Yoko-Ohno walks off camera and Sonny Onoo turns his attention back to Scoop Muldoon) Did I mention that I once managed Ultimo Dragon? You know he held seven world championships all at once. That was because of my management. Also, have you seen the size of that IFC Grand Championship belt? There’s no way that thing will fit around Yoko-Ohno! When my client wins this tournament the IFC had better have a new belt made for him or I WILL file an intergalactic lawsuit… (the camera fades to black as Sonny Onoo continues talking) Yoko-Ohno (0-1) vs. Rocky (0-1) – Surprisingly, Yoko-Ohno is able to keep up with Rocky’s speed. The two fighters battle back and forth. Ohno manages to get Rocky to the ground and connects with a monstrous BANZAI SPLASH for the win. Krusher Khan (0-1) vs. Party Pirate (1-0) – Party Pirate carries a bottle of Captain Jack Rum to the cage with him. He argues with the referee Bull Hammer to keep the booze in the cage but ultimately agrees to set it just outside the cage door. The bell rings to signal the start of the fight. Party Pirate connects with a PARTY PUNCH and Krusher Khan is out. Party Pirate grabs his bottle of rum and gets back to his own personal party. Tick Tock Interview: Scoop Muldoon: Let’s cut to the chase here. Ever since your debut, the galaxy has been wondering where you and your behemoth, Rabbid, came from and why you are here? Tick Tock: My dear sweet Scoop… So cute in your little bow tie. Did you know the Box Office Arena is built over a former black hole? And did you also know that the area that was once an imploding star is now home to a constant flow of glowing green ooze? Scoop Muldoon: I have heard the rumors… Tick Tock: THE RUMORS ARE TRUE!!! There are hundreds… thousands of living beings living down there… forgotten… left to suffer and rot while the corporation behind the IFC makes trillions off of this tournament and the richest of the rich from around the galaxy buy tickets to watch us mortals fight and bleed! It is in this forgotten area that I found Rabbid. The ooze created him… birthed him… Because of this ooze Rabbid feels NOTHING!!! No pain! No joy! The ooze created what science could not… the perfect smashing machine! Rabbid enters the frame and smashes his fist into his palm. Scoop Muldoon: *gulp* I guess I have some research to do on this black hole and ooze flow. But what about you, Tick Tock, where do you come from? What reason do you have for literally forcing your way into this tournament? Tick Tock: All in due time, you innocent thing you. All in due time. Honest Abe (1-0) vs. Tick Tock(1-0) – Honest Abe looks for a sportsmanlike handshake but Tick Tock spits a filthy black liquid into Abe’s outstretched hand. While Abe is wiping his hand on his trousers Tick Tock attacks, pushing Abe’s back to the cage. Abe’s wrestling background comes in really handy and he takes control back before taking much damage. Again Tick Tock fights back and this time is able to get Abe in the THUMB TRAP. Abe is able to break the painful looking hold and grab Tick Tock with the LINCOLN LOCK. Tick Tock is still too fresh for that move to work. The two men trade holds for a few more minutes before Abe is able to get the LINCOLN LOCK again. This time Tick Tock is forced to tap. Your winner, Honest Abe!!! Hype MacLeod: Wow!!! I thought Abe might be in trouble there for a moment. Looks like he has gotten a small measure of revenge for Tick Tock and Rabbid’s attack upon their arrival. Not only that but he remains undefeated in this round robin tournament! Abe looks like he will be a force to be reckoned with in this tournament. That’s it for this week. Until next time…

Pike, this card was AMAZING!
Loved Sonny Onoo - Fan-freaking-tastic! LOL! Great combination and characterization!
Captain Jack Rum...I'm stealing that one. Great stuff!
Tick Tock is freaking bonkers - I mean bat-sh@t crazy. Good thing Abe made him submit.
Two thumbs up for this one sir!

Thanks for the comments, guys. I've really been having a lot of fun with both the matches and interview segments. My idea was that if this was a new fight promotion, where nobody in the galaxy had really heard of any of these fighters before, it would make sense to have an interviewer speak with each of them so the audience could get to know them. MMA promotions will often run promos throughout a night of fights, especially if they are a newer organization, to get to know the fighters.
