IFC 34
The show starts backstage where a confrontation has erupted between Punk A.D. and PowerMonger.
Punk A.D.: What do you mean we can’t talk to Havoc!?! We’ve got to be there for her next fight! The Steam Punk Society
PowerMonger: I explained everything in great detail last week. But I wouldn’t have expected a simpleton like you or a musclehead like Squatch to have comprehended everything I was saying. No exceptions. The Nil Zone is closed. No one gets in or out except me. No exceptions. Especially not for a group of punks. Hahaha!
Punk A.D.: I see how it’s going to be. I guess I’ll have to open the Vectors myself then! I’ll beat the Great 8. Line ‘em up, I’ll knock ‘em down! Let’s roll the dice tonight with Black Jack!
PowerMonger: I do not think you understand the game of blackjack but you can have your fight with the Black Jack!
Punk A.D.: It’s clobberin’ time!
Yoko-Ohno vs. Hollywood Gunn – Yoko-Ohno looked to be en route to a quick and easy victory after the two fighters collided in the middle of the ring right after the bell rang. Yoko was having his way with Gunn until Gunn was able to reverse and put a beating on Ohno. Another reversal and a BONZAI SPLASH gives Yoko-Ohno the victory. Winner: Yoko-Ohno
Fahrenheit vs. Demtor – Long but action-packed fight which ended with the two fighters trading finishers until Fahrenheit couldn’t respond after Demtor’s THE SUMMONING. Winner: Demtor
Saint Nick meets with Death Star backstage:
Saint Nick: The time is now for you and your team to get to work. It’s time for you to make up for all the pain and chaos you’ve caused the IFC and its fighters. It’s time for you to take the fight to the Great 8! Are you ready?
Death Star: We were born ready! We came to the IFC to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and we’re all out of bubblegum.
Death Star goes to walk away but the camera pans down to Death Star’s shoe. A long stringy strand of pink gum stretches between the sole of his shoe and the dirty floor of the Box Office Arena’s backstage area.
Death Star: Hey look… bubble gum!
He chews a little.
Death Star: At least I think that was bubble gum… Oh well, we got this, boss! Your Great 8 problem will be no more now that we are on the job!
He walks off chomping his gum as his one foot sticks a little bit with each step.
Great 8 Challenge: Comet vs. Lionheart – Lionheart controls the action for the majority of the fight but, when Comet is finally able reverse roles, he quickly locks on the PAN GALACTIC STRETCH, leaving Lionheart no choice but to tap out. Winner: Comet
Great 8 Challenge: Punk A.D. vs. Black Jack – Black Jack makes quick work of Punk A.D. with the WILD CARD. Winner: Black Jack
As soon as Black Jack’s hand is raise, Demtor appears on the stage and banishes Punk A.D. to the Void.
Saint Nick vs. Alexander – Alexander starts the fight on offense, trying to keep Saint Nick from gaining any leverage to get his own offense started. When Nick is able to get the advantage, he’s quick to put Alexander to sleep with the SENTINAL SLEEPER. Winner: Saint Nick
ISGP Final Round: Bien Vestido vs. Muck – Bien Vestido seems to have Muck figured out from the very start, utilizing a quick stick and move offense. Muck is visibly frustrated but can’t seem to get his filthy hands on the dapper luchador. Eventually, Bien Vestido slips up and Muck is finally able to strike, hitting Vestido with Grimy Headbutts until Vestido falls to the mat. Winner: Muck
ISGP Final Round: Mr. Ion vs. Buck Tomkins – Mr. Ion comes in fast, hitting Buck with everything he has in the tank. Buck recovers from multiple GAMMA SLAMS but it’s eventually too much and he’s unable to get back to his feet. Winner: Mr. Ion
